@mr2

Well said, I 100% agree ... however I believe all Amiga derived systems are interesting, but I choose OS4

@wawa

Threads on Aros-exec.org and Morphzone.net about this very topic show jubilant expectation that OS4 users will now turn to the right side.

right side? it wouldnt be a wonder if some sort of exodus occurred. cant see an active thread on this subject on the named sites atm though. and still another question is whether it would be desirable. sure, gifted developers would be welcome every place, but such people are fine even where they are, they are usually to deal with anyway. whats the problem is the user base.

Maybe Pavlor is taking about lack of support on AROS forums, I see many people asking for help, but no one getting there problems solved.
I'm reading MorphZone, to see what he might be thinking about.

news to me. maybe you referring to amidark case or the like, but he really ignored any help he asked for. other than such, people may be asking for their particular hardware support, but since you can run aros in different ways practically everywhere, native, hosted or in vm, i doubt there is so much problems to ask. definitely easier then when someones os4 machine gets fried, and here you could really see a number of threads with no solution.

I think they are going to be greatly disappointed, anyway I am sure more people switch to the AmigaOS4.1 side, once they see the light

seems rather little interest overall.

neither here or above i see many people speculating or expecting that os4 crowd would come over or be of any advantage as audience. this is just a bit amused coffee talk as here or anywhere else.

what light? a lucky case that everything may be kept as previous for a time being? nothing reassuring imho.

@wawa

Some indications that people are not happy about MorphOS.

Here is 3 topics from Morph.zone front page:

Topic 1: Mac Mini stucks while booting up

So clearly MacMini is not that great, as some people wont to make you believe here on Amigaworld.net

Topic 2: Bored MorphOS user looking for games to play

People are not happy, they don't have anything to do. I have also read they use os4emu to run games, have they made the wrong OS choice?

Topic 3: Workbench for the Future?

They are not happy about desktop experience.

So what are they happy about?

wow,good find! how does that one compare to your usual, my os4 doesnt boot threads?

amigadaves thread;) cant bother to read these lengthy posts.

cant really bother to read that too, but seems the subject is the naming convention not disappointment with morphos. another coffee talk but they might have some point, amiga operating system was being referred to as "workbench" usually. none cared about this being an os or not, it simply was amiga.

so, seems you tried hard, but i cant really find so much evidence of disappointment with morphos and aros you are hoping for.

Did not need to read more then the front page to see the disappointments.
So now, I am expecting the AmigaOS4.1 community to double in size in no time
