Yep I just backed it! I do think some kickstater project leader are pushing their luck however with there goals, £50,000 is quite a bit of cash, it is basically really taken any risk out of a project now.

I hope Viva Amiga still gets made, (plus it was made on half the budget!)

@AmigaOneProductions

It looks nice, but its hard to see if the content of the film isn't mostly game clips or more interesting stuff like interviews or technical stuff?

@Aslak3
The original From Bedrooms to Billions is basically a (very) long documentary/interview so I expect the basic format to stay the same.

The film is funded.
It would be cool if the stretch goals are all reached

@Rudi

If people put that kind of money into software development, we might have been able to do something.

I do put this kind of money into software, but only into software I actually care about, and only to software that will have sources available for the future. For example I supported liberation of DOpus Magellan with 250 euros, or whatever the currency was. Considering the improvements that have been done and that it works great on AROS, it was well worth supporting. :)

@kolla

Well the JIT UAE bounty got 3065.35 EUR.

Developer worked part time after work for 4 years, when family life and day job did not interfere. Įlmos Rajnai assumed it take 1 year, forgetting to that he has lot less free time to work on it after got family.

Timberwolf got 6732.72 EUR

Developer worked part time after work for 4 years, when family life and day job did not interfere. Project started in started 2009, finished in 2013 = 4 years.

Liberation of DOpus Magellan got $4148 ~ 3907.60 EUR

Bounty was paid to former owner of DOpus Magellan.
Developers worked for free to get it working on their OS of source part time, port to AmigaOS4/MorphOS/AROS did not take too long, despite lack of funding, but you must remember that most work was done in 1990's to make it a great product.

Anyway, don't take it as criticism of you project, your just better at selling your stuff, then most developers are, I don't know.

@NutsAboutAmiga

I'm a bit confused, I have never really sold anything, half a dosen copies of the AmiGBG DVD's is about all I have sold, my programming projects have all been freebies on OS4Depot.

Every one sells some things, if its there talents, or services.

Not to argue with you, but definition of selling, is when you provide something in exchange for money or other services.

You providing different kind of rewords depending on how much they donate to your Kickstarter project, basic 101, service in exchange for cash. (Tickets to see the film and get your name in the credits, etc.)

In addition, you provided extra services depending on total amount of donations (cash).

Even if you break even, this is an exchange of services.

A sale does not even need to be in exchange for cash, but services traded for other services, even going to job interview is sort of a sale, in that case, you are trying to convince the one who is interview that you are the right one for the job, or trying to sell your skills. The one who is interviewing is trying to sell you the job, if you think the job is right for you, and interviewer thinks you have the skills, you have tread.

@NutsAboutAmiga

Just to avoid any confusion, I DONT have any kickstarter projects, I have no connection with the above film, only that I decided support them and pledge to buy myself a copy if it was made.

Your post above make it look as if it's my project, I can assure you it isn't
