No, no it's not. Slow computers... that is so 1990's!

@Drewlio77

Actually, it is. First you gotta learn how to crawl, and all that. I must say I have a lot more faith in someone wishing to learn how to do the 030 right before tackling other ideas than someone with his head in the clouds.

@olegil

PErsonally I would hope their next project after this would be a POWER design, hooking the Amiga up to the local bus of some sort of useful chip. Or x86, if this is plausible (local bus is becoming a bit hard to find there, afaik. This means a PCIe to localbus would be needed. This is not difficult to find).

AmiJoe idea, you know.

strim actually contributes to a project on warpos compatible driver for sonnet ppc accelerator in a mediator expansion. other than that id rather prefer there wouldnt be further attempts trzing to squeeze a ppc into an amiga.

Well it says on the news item that they'll be attending Amiga30 in Holland.

Not really interested myself either but I do understand that for others that having a PPC in their Amiga is the holy grail.

i think you are writing a bit too much into it. from my experience one s tempted to see what it us until one have seen the results. i doubt it results in a lasting user base.

Thanks, I didn't scroll down far enough to see the 2015 update.
Looking forward to their demo.

"I would prefer if other people wouldn't disagree with me"

How's that working out for you, eh?

Nah, squeeze away.
Better that than an X86.
