Sorry, it wasn't directed at you specifically, it was just an idea. As for myself, as you can see i don't live in the best place to search for a job today, i'm struggling myself and i'm not the only one struggling in this Country...

@Nibunnoichi

having job has pros and contras. an employee cannot contribute so much to the community. and kalamatee has commited extremly much. just look at aros repo journal and stats. so if it was possible to gather monthly funds securing someones like that living may even be a better solution than convey one with a job. he could do work he obviously likes and the community would progress. the community dedicated to open solutions, that is.

My apologies if I came across a little terse there. I don't mean to offend... I'm just tired and a little trigger-happy these last few days.

Sorry to hear you are having struggles, money issues are no fun at all.

Take care.

@Nibunnoichi

Many of us, worldwide, are struggling.

Still, I'd be willing to donate some money for development of projects I'm interested in.
The idea of a version of AROS X86 with support for big endian code and 68K interoperability has been brought up.
Reviving the PPC port is another idea I'm in favor of.

Hey, just improving the support for AMD video cards would garner my support.

And I don't have much money to spare.
But I'd be willing to chip in.

Worthwhile cause, AND one I mentioned, cool.

Anyone else paranoid enough to notice the address of the company wanting license revenue for Mpeg2 decoding?

"Fiddler's Green", eh? That's the same name used for the complex that the rich hole up in in George Romero's "Land of the Dead". Weird and probably not and coincidence.

Edit - BTW, I pledged what little I could in support.
We need to support our developers and this seems like a good person to encourage.

@Overflow

I see nothing but a white screen. I'm using Odyssey on an X1000.

Patreon has *never* made an attempt to be seeable through an Amiga.

That's the meaning of Patreon. If dozens of us pledges 20 dollars to him every month, we'll have de facto hired him. Patreon's donations are monthly.
