Classified Ads on AmigaWorld?

Just wondering, there is next to no activity in the "Classified Ads" section of Amiga World, with only 3 entries for the Hardware category.

Any reasons why the "Classified Ads" sections has slowly died? Have all ads shifted else where?

@QuBe

AmiBay is pretty popular these days, so that has probably had an impact.

I placed a WTB advert for an AmigaOS 4 capable system, but no response yet. I'm interested in a no-so-expensive deal due to budget. Hopefully someone contacts me in the near future. ;)

@QuBe

As mentioned AmiBay is quite a popular place for trading and selling Amiga hardware, aside from the usual location of eBay.

A lot of ads that were placed here were pointing to the sites mentioned above where the items were being offered.

OK, thanks Steve and all, I will check out AmiBay.

It is a pity though that the Classified section is now pretty much inactive.

I would have thought having an active Classifieds section (and actively promoting it) would have driven additional traffic to the site, keeping enthusiast and avid Amigans more engaged knowing that a bargain could be had for some exotic and hard to find hardware and software items.

I guess with the enormity of eBay, and the rise of AmiBay, even an actively promoted Classifieds Ads section herein, would have probably not survived long term...

Q!
