Better the original Arcade Versión of SEGA even the Amiga 500 versión is much better too.

You'd better take those rose tinted specs off now. Next you'll be saying the Amiga Afterburner port is better than TFX

Thanks. It uses the Arcade ROM files. It looks nice in widescreen but other than that I think it works better in MAME.

That's one thing. The game also runs smoother than the original (but why cap the refresh rate at 60Hz? I have 120Hz display ), has some bugfixes and enhancements (f.ex. you can hear the music in music selection screen!)

Unlike many other remakes, it doesn't "get anything wrong" (it's running original roms, and all options can also be switched off), and also manages to improve over the original. So, I'd say it's better to play this. Not that much better, but not worse, like it usually is. Like f.ex. the terrible Amiga port of Outrun...

There's also OpenGL support, but that's actually only for view scaling. All is drawn "in 2D" internally. Thought if I could bother trying to make it draw actual graphics in OpenGL instead, probably too much work...

For me a decent classic ECS port of outrun has the sweet taste of revenge, after being mistreated by US gold and Probe into that crap, like fixing a wrong received in young age;
