Amiwest 2013 talked about Three New Amigas? X3500 - X5000/20 - X5000/40

Now 2015 and hardly any updates news where is hyperion and A-Eon at with these. Not moaning just wishing we had some updates on its progress.

@g01df1sh

from trevor's latest blog entry:

Quote:
As I'm writing this blog I'm waiting for the delivery of my new AMIGA one X5000 tower from AmigaKit. The package is in the county and was supposed to be delivered yesterday. It didn't arrive and is supposedly being delivered today.

If you didn't know, I'm signed up as a Cyrus+ beta tester and, as with the AmigaONE X1000 beta programme, I delayed shipment of my board towards the end of the distribution run to allow all other beta testers to get their boards first. Hey who said I'm just waiting for all the bugs to be ironed out! Our core Linux developers have had their boards for several months and have already produced a stable Linux distribution with full 3D graphic acceleration for the Cyrus+ board. The AmigaOS 4 port has continued apace but was slowed for a while by a tricky little CPU bug which was hidden in the Freescale Erratum.

Freescale had detected the bug and effected a kernel level fix for Linux. Fortunately fellow beta tester and all round hardware guru, Eldee [Stephens] found the Freescale information and it didn't take long for Thomas Frieden to then apply the approved Freescale workaround. Since then the AmigaOS 4 Cyrus+ port has become a lot more stable, allowing other key developers to work on the necessary drivers. Just need to get my AMIGA one X5000 box so I can join the party!

beta testers have been working with the AOS4 developers now for some months and progress is being made. i'm sure A-EON will tell us more when they're ready.

@Spectre660

Thanks wishing the beta tester good luck and that a consumer version will be out soon...

@g01df1sh

Perhaps they were stalled by the bankruptcy. That tends to hold companies up.

@g01df1sh

There is my x5000 which i receive few weeks ago as betatester (but, i was late on party, some of other testers receive their boards 6-12 months ago).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIl79f0ttGM

As for aos4 state i can't tell as i can broke all those NDAs (while with hardware itself i have permission to show it with no probs), but what i can tell is that work is going for sure.

Also the fact that some morphos devs have x5000 boards in their hands tells as well.

As for dates: for sure all of us know, that every date of any release in any area, always shifts, and always there is bunch of stuff in between which you can't calculate from beginning. Be it building of house, or of those fancy boards, or whatever.

Ouch. Are you now a broken beta man? Sounds like a song.

@TRIPOS

They've ported the wrong OS!

Or your backdrop is broken. Shouldn't that be AEON PegasosOne?
