| There is an interesting KickStarter campaign about some remix album on old game tunes. And there is under 50 hours to go and some money missing, please check if that is interesting to you. Short description from the project:
Dave Lowe remakes some of his most famous Amiga Atari ST C64 ZX Spectrum game music & records Elite Frontier themes with real orchestra

Edit, link corrected. Some copypaste error :)

I saw this project when it was first announced, cancelled and relaunched.
I've been of two minds over it though and my reasoning was simply this - from listening to a lot of the tunes made, the Amiga versions of said tunes were in a lot of cases - quite awful (instrumentation on a lot of them was terrible).
The annoying thing is that the Elite 2: Frontier tune was pretty good, as was Starglider 2's theme tune (the audio tape version that came with the game). For those two tunes alone I would be interested - and hearing the studio mixes of the others is pushing me a little more to backing it. _________________ Test sig (new) |

Funding failed. It missed out by around £1500. However, as they made it to 95% they will try again, but you'll have to keep an eye on their blog pages for any announcements on how it will happen unless you pledged in which case you will also get an update through the Kickstarter update notification messages to your e-mail. _________________ Test sig (new) |
