| I'm trying to install Wazp3d in my SAM460ex with OS4.1FE, but I'm confused by the installation instructions:
The instructions given are: Wazp3D-Prefs should be copied to your SYS:Prefs directory Rename existing LIBS:Warp3D.library to LIBS:Warp3D.library-save
Is this above referring to AmigaOS4.1 or all Amiga-like OS?
Then it also says: If you are not using WinUAE but a real OS4 PPC Amiga (which I'd assume is my case) copy Wazp3D.library-ppc TO LIBS:Warp3D.library
But Warp3d.library is a file and not a drawer.
What about all the other files in the Wazp3d drawer after decompression of the Wazp3d.lha?

It could be clearer, but what you do is copy the Wazp3d.Llibrary to LIBS. if there is an existing warp3d.library (that was part of the OS4 installation) rename it to warp3d.library-old (or -save) & rename the Wazp3d.library to Warp3d.library & use the comment line to show origional Wazp3d name for future reference. What your doing is subsituting the wazp3d.library for a real warp3d.library. _________________ - BCP AmigaOne X1000 & Amiga 4000

in your case backup the warp3d.library in your Libs: then rename Wazp3D.library-ppc from wazp archive in warp3d.library and copy it into your libs dir. prefs program goes in prefs dir naturally. |

Which one goes into Sys:Pref, Wazp3D-Prefs or Wazp3d-Prefs-OS4?
How do you use the Wazpd3d-prefs? Double clicking to pen either one doesn't do anything.

On real Amigas (I have no idea about fake OS4 Amigas) you put the Warp3D library in libs and the Warp3d folder containing the Warp3D GFX and HW driver libraries directories with the drivers for your system in libs too. _________________ Using: One Commodore C64 - One Commodore Amiga 500 - One Commodore Amiga 1200 with BVision and Blizzard 68060 with PPC coprocessor running Amiga DOS - One Hellbillylitre Amigatwox86x64x6000x running Windows7 |

I copied Wazp3d-Prefs-OS4, but I still don't understand how to use those preferences. Double clicking doesn't do anything.Quote:

| Hello
There is not much to understand 1) save your original Warp3D.library by renaming it as Warp3D.library-save 2) rename Wazp3D.library-ppc as Warp3D.library and put it in sys:libs/ 3) copy Wazp3D-Prefs-ppc in your prefs folder
If Wazp3D-Prefs-ppc dont works so your install is not good ...

I would have thought a simple installer could be included here. By the time the instructions are written up an installer could almost have been written. I've had skeleton installer code lying around for years. I tweak a few files names and that's pretty much it. Last edited by Hypex on 27-May-2015 at 03:30 PM.

First of all what version are you trying to install?
The instructions I have are:
Wazp3D-Prefs should be copied to your SYS:Prefs directory Rename existing LIBS:Warp3D.library to LIBS:Warp3D.library-save If you are not using WinUAE but a real OS4 PPC Amiga copy Wazp3D.library-os4 TO LIBS:Warp3D.library
so:
Extract the archive to ram: and in a shell enter:
ram:Wazp3D/ copy Wazp3D-Prefs-OS4 to sys:prefs/Wazp3D-Prefs copy Wazp3D-Prefs-OS4.info to sys:prefs/Wazp3D-Prefs.info rename libs:warp3d.library warp3d.library.save copy Wazp3D.library-os4 libs:Warp3D.library copy cfg-os4 sys:storage all

Irrelevent question, you're asking if the above is refering to 'a hamster' or something that 'looks, sounds, smells, eats and craps like a hamster'. ALL Amigalike OS's have sys:prefs.

But Warp3d.library is a file and not a drawer. |
No it's not because you have renamed it by this stage, warp3d.library no longer exists.
