So many threads are a about amiga politics or benhcmarks or other boring stuff, just though I'd start one about doing stuff with your amiga, started it in general so as not to exclude any variant.

Just finished working on my latest CD (mixing part done in Audio Evolution on my SAM Flex, initial recording and mastering done in Ardour on my linux laptop.).

Now working on my CD coverdesign, in SketchBlock mostly.

Screenshots of progress here:

http://webplus.broad.ology.org.uk/docs/gallery/thumbgallery.php?dir=./__cat__0002/__cat__0001/__cat__0001

and rather a lot of coding ofcourse ....

Very awesome idea for a thread topic, Andy. Over last couple of days I have been learning a bit about ARexx programming, starting from the beginning really. But just today I started a project involving the creating of title cards and graphic overlays to be used in an upcoming video production. My X1000 is going to get some use for this project.

@broadblues

I've been coding, learning about coding, and paying music on mine. Also fired up my main classic for a couple of games of SWOS and a little bit of Frontier

I picked up some coding I started 10 years ago but never finished and trying to finish one of the many bits. It can be used as coding tool by itself, it's a C serialization library. I get bored easily but so far I'm happy with what I've got, I think I'm going to finish it.

Waiting for Ebuyer to confirm my video card has a fault and send a replacement before I can do anything.

Great idea for a thread. :) It's always interesting to hear what other people use their Amiga systems for.

As for myself I installed a Gotek drive in my Amiga 1200 a few days ago. Have been trying out a few games and setting it up so its ready for the weekend. Looking forward to re-visit some old gems, as well as exploring some titles I've never tried before. Can't wait!

I'm also thinking of getting the both hated and loved joystick; THE BUG :D And a Konix Navigator. Both are pretty cool I think.

I'm currently jammed with my Amiga doings...

SAM440ep does not work currently, need to fix/build our main Linux computer first, then need to probe why SAM power circuit shuts the system down when there is too little load on the PSU.

My home office/computer room is a mess. I still have some things to sort/arrange and build the last things, mount loudspeakers to wall etc... Then more computers fit on the table etc...

Then... MorphBook must be updated to 3.8 and cleaned up, same for MorphMini.

At this point I must put more time to high level design of Low Cost Power PC computer idea/project.
(I want to do at least some of that "work" on Amigas) Parallel with this, the rest continues with secondary priority:

Home NAS should be put back in use. Amiga filesharing should be implemented. Some modern (or at least working) network filesystem should be put in use (must support amiga filenames and comments, everything else is so stupid technology).

Later Aspire laptop needs to be reinstalled (winXP+AmiKit+AEROS or just AROS or Amithlon).
My own Linux box need to be rebuilt & installed (Arch linux + AROS hosted + AmiKit...).
AROS/AEROS desktop computer need to be rebuilt.
A600 needs to be polished & networked (AOS2.1 demosystem).
A500 should be put to game tests use.
A4000 needs to be taken back in use (need to be downgraded from overload of expansions, perhaps build back to desktop case, eFlash taken in use, 3.1/3.9 dualboot put in use...)
A2000 should be built to a WB1.3 demosystem.

For all classics, I should open them and go through to find dirt+leaking components etc... perhaps I need to buy the service... ((+ perhaps I should sell/give A2000 and some other stuff to someone to play with...)) If I power them on without checking, I'm afraid they will "burn".

And I have huge amount of SW stuff to do... Hollywood learning (H3DWoodMark hehe), automation stuff, Arduino....

+ the start of summer is giving overload of home duties + I get too little sleep.
And I MUST spend less time on forums. Again.

OK, I go meditating: Focus, prioritize, DO, focus, prioritize, ....

Slightly off topic, but design related, I am currently in the process of designing myself a t-shirt for the Amiga 30 year event in Peterborough in August. Looking at doing a mosiac of 'words' and 'names' of people in the next-gen arena doing something for the community. I should check I have your name!

Probably a bit far for you, but are you planning on coming Andy?

Using
MindSpace to create promo material for Recursion 2015 on Sat 4 July, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Someone reckoned that PageStream 5 was a little more useable under OS4.1FE, so I might have another try this weekend.

Also playing with AEROS in Raspberry Pi 2.

@broadblues

I have unfortunately been away from my A1 for the last few months.

Hoping to get back to it in the next few weeks, with learning some basic AOS programming the main aim (all my audio/video work switch to Mac a while back).

hehe I'm sure there are many other users enjoying SketchBlock but not all of us are expert artists like yourself

btw, great thread Andy! sure beats all the political & beating dead horse threads around here lately

@klx300r

Honestly not sure I count as an expert artist.... experts knoeck the stuff I'm doing in hours not days....

Next installment on the design.

Started runng out of memory, so had to split out layers add the parchment to the backgorund then reimport it.

IN principle I've added support for ARGB32 (as opped to ARGBFloat) for memory tight projects that don't need HDR support, but it seems I have abug that promotes a project back to ARGBFloat when you save and reload...
