OK... 1. The installer seems to assume MultiViewer is already "assigned" when the installation starts! 2. When changing font-size, I get the message "freeing mem at cmd 5EC4C4B4 GETFONTINFO 5DF1B388" (in a box). 3. Using Search, If MultiViewer doesn't find the word - It says nothing (doesn't flash like old MultiView).
I'll give it some more time, later this evening.

| @amigakit My experience is that I can't purchase MultiViewer because there are 2 previous purchases stuck in my shopping bag and I don't want to purchase them again just to get Multiviewer. How do I clear my shopping bag so I can just purchase Multiviewer??
I also noticed that I can't find Multiviewer in any section (like Utilities) and could only find it when I select "show all products" and it's the last item.

Go to your bag, pick in the name. A new menu appears below, here you can delete the product.

So far favourite features are watch drawer and ability to mark and copy parts of images. Also seems nice and fast on my A1-500.
Would be handy if files with no datatype showed the associated deficon in the preview pane that when clicked opened the file, e.g. for HTML in the web browser (using which ever tool was set in the deficon).
Also, would be nice if whichever zoom mode was on, the associated button remained depressed or ghosted maybe?
Would be nice to be able to browse through the listed files with up/down arrow keys and to save the font size used for text files. |

Woops MultiViewer itself is used to display the EULA and the GUIIMAGES tooltype points to MULTIVIEWER:TBimages.

A line of left of debug aded to chase an issue n the 68k version, no removed, so will be fixed in next update.

Just tested by search for "flombijob" in T:usb.log and got a screen beep when it wasn't found. Then tested by search for "product" and got abeep after it got to the last item. This beep is done at the datatype level, so check your config, did you turn beeps off or set them to sound and not turn your speakers up?

I just ran a slide show for a fair while with no lockups.
Can you post some details about your system, available gfx mem etc etc and if it's repeatable get me a stack trace from the serial log?

As document under keyboard shortcuts, presing ESC quits MultiViewer it does not stop the slide show, press the slide show button again to do that ( it should show as permanantly selected when slide show is on) or unselect slideshow from the Menu->Navigtain->Slideshow

That wouldn't work too well, many have the html datatype installed and html would be picked up as ascii without it anyway, if there isn't a datatype it would be loaded as a binary file if you have the binary datatype installed, Multiviewer isn't a workbench replacement, if you want to click on an icon to load something use workbench Maybe you just need to install a few more datatypes.

I'd rather be able to browse through documents using those keys, that's why you have a mouse
As for fonts... RTFM... and use the tooltypes FONTNAME and FONTSIZE.Last edited by Severin on 13-Jun-2015 at 11:31 PM.

Sorry. I ran MultiViewer in a "full - window" mode, covering Workbench! Making Workbench visible, the flash-effect shows. Just like MultiView...

Yes. That helps. It would also help to use text & icon colors that have more contrast with the background. The dark grey on darker grey stuff makes it difficult to distinguish text etc. I didn't even see the Xs until you pointed them out. _________________ X1000 with 2GB memory & OS4.1FE |

| Only issue I had with it was the "assigned"-issue tingy, and also the installer not mentioning if a drawer will be created or not... But I sorted all that pretty quickly
Otherwise I replaced MultiView with MultiViewer as the defalt tool for ascii, audio, pics, etc, and it works great thank you

Oops, now I also got a complete system freeze :S
First I viewed some small text file, then added/selected/loaded a bunch of (13 or so) pics of various sizes to show and pressed OK.. then everything froze. Had to use the power button...

| Purchased, first observation beside that easily fixed Assign issue is that this is the first I have seen an AmigaOS application with AISS icons in the intuition menus. This just goes to show that all existing applications need to be revisited and updated - this just looks so much modern. _________________

| It would be cool if MultiView could have some image fx processing added to it, just simple one-click effects with minimal settings, e.g. Grayscale, Chalk, Negative, Sepia that kind of thing - not looking for a complete package just some of the more readily used effects. _________________

why is there a multiviewer assign required? appdir:multiviewer should work to start it and smth like progdir: should work to find the installation path? every additional assign within the system is one assign too much (imho).

Fair point, maybe files which are binaries or have no matching datatype could be grey/unselectable in the list instead?

Guess this depends on what you use MultiViewer for, so far I've been browsing mostly images. Maybe use mouse wheel for scrolling through documens and keys for navigating the list of files?
Thanks for tip on setting the font size. |

You can use the Page Up and page Down keys to do this. Home and End jump to the start and sto of the list.
