@klx300r
Hi,
i did it under windows but you can follow this guide:
https://litecoin.info/Debian_Linux_cryptocoin_mining_rig_setup_guide

Check the cgminer section.
Make sure to have working AMD driver.. Follow the steps about AMD drivers if needed.

If you follow it you will end up with cgminer
Than call:
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://poolamigacoin.org:22113 -u youramigacoinaddress -p x -I 10

Here is a short overview about the AmiCloud/AEROS subscription offering:

The subscription offer will get a few new rewards like the CD-ROM release of Projekt:Lila in a couple of days .
Besides this everyone who has bought Aeros Plus or Premium can request the ARM version of Amicloud for free. Just email me. The Arm version works on any major Linux distribution and is also included in Aeros.

I am looking for an amigaos4 user for testing the virtual machine service.
You should have some knowledge in using rdesktop on os4.

You can choose between aros, Linux and reactos

@zzd10h
Thank you : )

The idea is to offer "AmiCloud Pro users" free Virtual Machines, which can be accessed using RDP or VNC. Or Moonlight if the OS supports it.

Pro Users can choose between virtually any free OS (ReactOS, AROS, Linux, Heiku and more)

You can select and control (restart, power off) the VM via AmiCloud
You are free to use whatever RDP or VNC client you like.

So you can run for example Ubuntu, debian, iCAROS, Broadway form your Workbench.

Inside the VM you will find a 30GB hard drive. (25GB is for the AmiCloud Pro storage).
So the files you work on inside the VM will be synched with your local AmiCloud folder.

I will send you something for testing.
Which OS would you like to try out inside the VM? I will set it up.

The testing right now is about performance and resource management on the server.

@phoenixkonsole

sound interesting.

I could test what you want, Aros or Haiku for example.

But I have to say that I have a "slow" internet connection (350-400KB/s download, 50-60KB/s upload)

waiting for your mail...

@tommysammy
Nice : ) I am stuck at 50Mbit for the moment (10Mbit up).
In one of the next 3 updates of AmiCloud you will find the options.

Virtual Amiga Machine!

This is what I was once talking about at some other thread, maybe ti was about Amikit or something that it would be great to have something like this.

What I would like is to have Virtual Amiga machine (like your idea seems to be) and on top of that, it would work so, that when i use for example my laptop, then it would, for example the amicloud way, update my Amikit in my laptop to be exactly same as the one in Virtual machine.

My point with this all is following:

1. Where ever I am, i could access the machine as long as i have internet in use (this includes even mobile phones, despite it being bit clumsy)

2. If I am going somewhere for a week, where I might not be able to access internet, I can turn on my Laptop, and it would update my (for example) Amikit installation to be exact copy of the Virtual Amiga Machine.

3. When I come back from that trip, I can simply start my laptop, connect it to internet, and it would once again update the Virtual Amiga Machine to be exact copy of my Laptops Amikit installation.

And all in all, I would prefer most of time using (for example) Amikit in my actual machine, instead of on virtual machine, but having virtual machine as an option to use on those rare times you happen to need, or in case you happen to suddenly need to check something and al you have is your phone, that would simply be excellent.

On top of these, I would also enjoy if I could for example have virtual AOS4 machine, and then when I would connect my actual AOS4 machine to internet, they would update each other to be perfect clones of each other.

This way I could have AOS4 on my windows machine thourgh emulation, AOS4 on virtual machine that i can access on the road, and also ahve real AOS4 machine, and all these would be exact copies of each other, as they would be kept synchronised through AmiCloud.

@Bugala
Basically.. yes.. but the synching happens only for the shared folder.

The reason is for example that users could mess up the VM in any way.

-> if the VM gets a Power down signal, the next time a user logs in, he will get a fresh clean copy. All data which was not stored inside the cloud drive, will be gone.

You could for example open an AROS VM and see your files stored in AmiCloud
Perhaps some own applications you would like to test.

Than you could log out and open a Linux VM (AEROS, Ubuntu*, BunsenLabs Linux) and if you are sitting on an niche System with no software but an internet connection you can start using LibreOffice and what not ever : )

Store your docs in the shared folder and it will be downloaded on all you AmiCloud connected computers.

*Ubuntu uses to much visual effects for my taste..

Hi,
Tommysammy created an icon for it which is available in the IndieGO AppStore
I can tomorrow send an URL.

The subfolder support is ready on the API side but befor we roll it out we need to find a good time where all responsible people have a free spot.
We need to be ready if some error happen.
This was not given at the last weeks.

Fabio is preparing a new updated launcher for the indieGO! And than we will roll out the subfolder support.

I can point Fabio to this thread since I can't tell how his time schedule is looking in the moment.
I had no break from my job for around 8 month.. : ) new year , new luck .

Hi,
are you sure there are no icons included?
Epsilon mentioned on this blog that OS4 doesn't support PNG icons by default.
-> http://amigax1000.blogspot.de/2015/12/amicloud-10-beta-on-x1000-and-sam460cr.html

He mentioned a tool called:
png_im.lha

I have no clue how to create a native OS4 icon : )

interesting I'll have a look but if Tommysammy created an icon I'm sure he would have created also an OS4.1 one as he is a user/ betatester
