What Picasso drivers? I can run Amiga OS3 in 1920x1080x24bit RTG with 512 MB RTG VRAM without installing any Picasso drivers or ROMs, just Amiga OS3 plus Kickstart and configuring WinUAE properly? I |
No. You need Picasso96 UAEGFX driver. |
BS. You don't.

I just tried your settings in WinUAE/basic OS3.1 installation, but I don´t see any RTG modes in screenmode prefs. What did I wrong? Last edited by pavlor on 16-Jul-2015 at 03:52 PM.

Yes you are absolutely right?! Someone has put UAEGFX into Devs dated back to 27.may.1999. It wasn't me, I swear... |

I mean: playing with AmigaOS 4.1 FE brought me to the decision to buy a SAM later this year. I think having a good ppc emulation can perhaps lead to a growing user base, a positive side effect. _________________ All sorts of computer errors are now turning up. Hmmmm... it would never had that side effect on me.
Well I have difficulty seeing anything positive of buying a SAM or anything OS4 related myself, even if my old maxed out Amiga 1200 OS3.9 died completely. Since there is very little software and the computer is very slow and need to emulate most (or all?) exclusive Amiga HW/SW on a not so good emulator there is little point in it, at least in my case that has a relatively good PC. It would have been very irrational money out the window and unnecessary me think.
I realize some of those who bought into the NG stuff around year 2004 or something an stuck with it, those with die hard and only makes it possible mentality could perhaps have some benefit from OS4/SAM/X1000, but it's just barely me think.
But if I were to get anything Amiga related HW for fun after all these years it would have been Natami as a standalone system, if they could have kept what they promised, and cost and trouble of ordering it abroad had been fair. But time doesn't stand still so interest has faded much on this area as well.
I have wondered if its possible to install an Amiga emulator on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 S I bought a year ago since its almost never in use other than by others, after all it was me who bought it. |

Well, even with today limitations you can try OS4.1FE in WinUAE - see OS for yourself and its features/limitations. 128 MB RAM is enough for old 68k applications and RunInUAE. |
