So, can you show me how do you build a computer with such card? See above. |
Think of this board like You'd think of a classic Amiga Accelerator. There's no floppy pot, no keyboard connector, a lot of things do not appear on the accelerator, they come from the motherboard. Some things on motharboard you have via another card like Zorro or PCI, same for this thing. Other things you might have directly on the accelerator, like SCSI, or they might be via motherboard somewhere (A3000 SCSI) or Zorro/PCI.
I for one am a fan of modular design such as this, though I'm more interested in the COM-Express module standard, and Com-Express has ATX, Mini-ITX, Flex-ATX etc. format carriers available to effect a standard desktop style computer. Then the complicated stuff like CPUto memory bus and other PCB details can be done only once, and the format-specific carriers are then much easier. I think that's a great approach to a new Amiga desktop.Last edited by billt on 03-Aug-2015 at 05:29 PM.

| @billt: I know it, but someone has to build the infrastructure to make use of such board for "desktop" purposes. That's the point.
EDIT: typo. Last edited by cdimauro on 04-Aug-2015 at 06:46 AM.
