Happy to report that my X1000 is now running Final Edition. So far so good, got the new Radeon Driver from A-EON and everything is nice and fast. Haven't tried many apps, but for me, OWB seems to be much more reliable than iBrowse. That seems to crash on me a lot.

So, overall a happy camper that I got this done and am now part of the Amiga's future!

Nice!

For browser - fastest and most powerful (some say the best) from "modern" browsers is Odyssey.

@pavlor

Odyssey is certainly the most up-to-date, I agree. But it does crash often trying to show videos.

@bladerunner1963

congrats ! 4.1FE is rock stable here so I'm sure you'll enjoy it

for browsers OWB is great with YouTube & AmiStore thanks to Fab & Kas1e & OWB Team

TimberWolf runs good too but I got occasional odd pauses and sadly development stopped a few years ago.

That is until you try to run real Amiga software?

@LimoU.Sin

'real' Amiga software is what I run on my 'real' miggies as I've yet to see 'real' software running on vapourware

Yes, if it were not for those "pauses" I would use Timberwolf much more often.

@klx300r

OWB is great, but not stable at all... It often crashes => if you are lucky, you can quit but if not, then you get a DSI and you must reboot os4 manually...
Timberwolf is an awful port... Not finished at all.
But I agree, using OWB is the only solution we have fore the moment...

@pseudaxos

Not only options have you tried NetSurf. while it's limited in many ways it does not crash.

@NutsAboutAmiga

Using Odyssey now. Seems to be stable enough. At least it hasnt crashed in the last 30 minutes since I installed it.

Looking around for other apps to have fun with. 4.1 FE does seem to be quit stable thus far.

@pseudaxos

The main problem with OWBs crashing is JavaScript which seems to cause a memory leak. OWB normally only crashes when it runs out of system memory. If you go into Settings & turn JavaScrip off OWB is much more stable.

Due to health issues, I had less computer (Amiga) time (so that means all computing, not only my Amiga even though AmigaOne 500 is still my main computer) so I also never had the chance to install 4.1 Final Edition that I received in January this year (2015). But now that I'm more rested (though not yet healed) I have more computing time again and did install 4.1 FE yesterday :) I also bought the much newer RadeonHD 2.4 driver from AmiStore and it works like a charm (feels better and smoother than the old 'free' (I was given a free license) driver I got from A-EON last year).

4.1 FE is a great improvement over 4.1 so far, love it! :) Now if only we could get Odyssey 1.25 beta for 4.1 FE... (and AOS 4.2 would be nice as well, ofc :P)

@pseudaxos

The OS4 version of OWB may have some issues.
The MorphOS version runs quite well for me.
Obviously these two need to be unified.
That approach wouldn't hurt MUI4 either.

Its a pity that there isn't more cooperation between both camps of developers as they come from a common background,
