Hey there,

He was recently released Star Raiders Atari 8Bit Source Code, I was thinking it might be nice Star Raiders be ported to Amiga.

I can not take a project, but I know in the Amiga Community are many talented and enthusiastic users with enough knowledge to carry out the project.

It will be possible to do this?

Regards.

@Drummerboy

It will be a lot easier if you use the Atari ST source code instead.

@kamelit0

It's available HERE

Could this be a project for Galahad? I know we have Wing Commander CD32 and that rocks but Star Raiders was a masterpiece and showed what Space Sims could be!

@Thread

No interest? Shame, it was a great game. I would also like Blue War III ported as that was my favourite ST exclusive game as I was a big Run Silent Run Deep fan as a kid. Dive, dive...

@BigD

Most of the code is assembler. I personally have no idea of how to read assembler code.

@Yssing

Well yes, it be lot of work to convert it, the code is well commented that’s the good part about the code, I see no point in trying to port it to AmigaOS4, you might as well just run it in emulator.

Found a video on youtube, looks primitive to me.

@NutsAboutAmiga

The game is from 79, as I understand it, so ofcourse it looks primitive. :)

From the youtube videos, withe the gameplay, it might be easier to do a complete re-make in e.g. hollywood.
