@phoenixkonsole

I love your idea and I may certainly add it to my wish list.

@WeiXing3D
Thanks,

meanwhile we have published a few updates.
Storage has been doubled for example.
Next update maybe interesting for Amigans again.

Yesterday I had an interview with a German newspaper and managed to fill it with a lot of AROS talk : )

I have applied to a referral service where people can earn 10% of each sale their shared links generate. People help with spreading the word and get a reward... Better than the other so called PR services in my eyes.

More info here https://indiego-retro-console.kickbooster.me/

Meanwhile we have been contacted by fulfillment services, resellers and developers.

I will announce a charity project which helps children in a hospital in Pittsburgh to support it. (8 bit evolution)

This one:
http://pittsburghretrogaming.com

A port to 68k amigas would be nice ; )

Stay tuned (there is so much going on)

I wish you all a happy new year!

Ps: I plan to offer a limited pine a64 version (bulk order).. Let me know if someone is interested.. I dropped the C1 because people decide to go cheap with pi2 or full power with odroid.

@phoenixkonsole

Its a nice idea, but you know what would be cool, having maybe a custom designed console looking case. Use a DVD slot loader maybe, hell even u could even make the early concept design of the AmigaCDC

@amigang
Yeah... but the price... : )
Of course if you target directly 500+ units you could do a own case at a reasonable price.

Maybe next time ; )

@phoenixkonsole

Given were the video was recorded it is somewhat ironic that the it is blocked due to potential rights issues when you try to access it from a German IP address

The packaging boxes look professional though so that is something.

@ASiegel
Yeah.. I have recorded also games like GTA and Burnout Domination and those include GEMA music...

I could do a audio-swap but it is important to have in game sound if you like to prove "performance"..

I could check an alternative video platform such as vimeo (which pays GEMA fees) but the video is long.. 28minutes. (afaik they will not allow this)

edit:
https://www.facebook.com/indiegoretro/videos
Tekken and Burnout Legends.

EDIT:
uploading to vimeo (SD-resolution due to file-size limit but it should still be enough : ) )

@phoenixkonsole

I have a Raspberry pi 3. Will it be available for this platform also in the future?

I have Raspian and Retropie installed with Berryboot. Will I be able to install IndieOS with Berryboot or do I need a seperate sim for his?

@Cravan
Yes, we have switched already to Pi3 (the Pi2 was replaced during the campaign).
I would suggest to use a clean sd just dedicated for it but yes it would work with berryboat.

For now it is for Pi2/Pi3 and Odroid XU3/4.

@Rob
thanks : )

@phoenixkonsole

One additional question... sorry if this information is available elsewhere but I didn´t see it on the kickstarter page, nor on the indiego gaming page.

I guess I buy games through the app store? How many games are available there today and for what platforms? How does the licensing work?

@Cravan
Hi,
you can just insert CDROM/DVD's/Blurays(some models) or a SD-card to the front sd-card slot. Also you can access your network shares and use AmiCloud to get files on and from the console.

The App Store is just another source : )

Here is and update with a video showing the front card-reader.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/681890174/indiego-all-in-one-retro-game-console-raspberry-pi/posts/1619909

So it is not limited to "original" software bought from the App Store.
It is open.

Regarding App Store and licensing:
Right holders can upload there content and sell it if they like. We don't offer pirated stuff.
I am in touch with Piko interactive and some older Amiga Games like Jim Power and Pinkie are on board.
