Blender:
you have open the file proposed and hit F12.
you can change in "performance settings" the number of core (threads)

BoingCube:
boingcube -benchmark

Since you can't buy X1000 anymore I don't see the point, it will be X5000 or not X5000.

Who's deader than the other?

Both overpriced and doomed technology.

@tlsom
you said x5000 is faster than X and Y, but show it
Do you have fear to make 3 test on Linux?

i, we, don't ask to test AmigaOS4, but ask you to test Linux that is much, mega much better than OS4

@Seiya

you like to compare melons with bananas....
first gallium/mesa with gallium test is possible if the two people have:
the same video board, the same distro, the same kernel version , the same xorg version and the same version of mesa... about the same mesa versions the two machine have to build with the same gcc and with the same ./configure options...

in any way on my x5000 config with radeon 6570 hd i have 1980/2010 glxgears fps this is on mate 16.04 with last kernel 4.6 rc1-LB with mesa 11.3 dev
ask to who have an x1000 if have a better result.

about cpu vs cpu i had been share the prometeus4 mplayer compare it with what you need.
i continue say the p5020 2ghz is faster in integer compared with g5 2.5ghz . in fpu is like the x1000.
and what im writing is concerning a distros/kernel who need to be better optimized for the cyrus board who is new hardware for linux too. expecting better result there too.

about software testing.
mame is faster than g5 quad
dosbox is faster than the g5 quad
qemu run slower than the quad but i think it is because sone configure option i have to check if mabi is altivec there and make the x5000 goes in emulation.
video i can play 1080p mkv ac3 on mplayer
quakespasm gave about 100fps more than g5 quad but dont thake it as a real result because i need to test again quakespasm with last distros because my top of message reasons.
i can play now with my last kernel revision 720p youtube in firefox with 120 framedrops on 6000 frames total.

amigaos for me is ot because im nda ... but you can see it run from trevor videos on youtube

Make blender test
However in your test you compare melons with bananas with g5 vs x5000.

@blender bench

Perhaps v2.62+ should be used.

My summary from previous (OLD) results & thread:

On my X1000 - Radeon 6670 - Kernel 4.6.0 alpha2 - Mate 16.04 - Mesa 10.0.4, I have only around 320 fps

So, at least under glxgears Linux, X5000 seems far better than X1000.

@zzd10h

Glxgears is not a good indicator of actual performance.
On my Tabor with Radeon HD6670 I get about 359 FPS.

@Spectre660

Blender 2.72 X5000 2T = time:1.29.03 ... and the kernel is in beta... exactly 2 months ago i had more than 3 minutes... hope you will understand the KERNEL IS IN BETA!

@guillaume
i think you need some tricks for better glx performances there ... look like more an old radeon card.
If you need i can help you building better mesa

That scene is pretty much standard for benchmarking blender.
