@zErec

Since it's an Amiga game first, do they plan to release it also for Amiga?

@kamelit0

This morning I wrote a nice email to the developer Krister & Team.
I described the actual Amiga situation like it is now with all its developments in the hard-& software area like for e.g. Vampire2, the new PPC Machines, the new AmigaOS(and flavours),all the new Games like M.A.C.E, Wings Remastered and so on.

Than I told Krister that the Amiga Community wants 1993 Space Machine
back home

I come back when the answer drops in.

Regards
z!Erec

@zErec

Looks OK but I think projectx looks better. Why can't we just get a port of projectx to os4 / MorphOS . ?

Hello

Do you know what "engine" is used in 1993 Space Machine : I mean something like Unity, GameMaker, SDL2, OpenGL, etc... ??

@thellier

Since it was made on the Amiga in 1993 I'd assume that it's their own engine hard coded in assembler.

The Amiga version was only a demo called Shenandoah with 1-2 levels not the current finished game

See here
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=26954

Seems that this Amiga demo version + sources was available in the Zone at some momentum

@Bezzen

I see. I just thought they'd bundled the game and emulator into one executable.

@thellier

I was under the impression from the info on the website was that the original Amiga game was completed.

@g01df1sh

All games have there charme and it's not allways gfx that counts .
In this case we have a big chance since we are talking to the developers directly.

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in our game! It's for sure has been a long time coming.
The last few years we have worked on this project has been a lot of fun but also quite draining in regards to the fact that it is a spare time project. And we are not done yet. We're working on a Linux and Xbox release at the moment. For these reasons we're not pursuing an Amiga version. Our goal was to make the game playable and accessible. I'm very proud of what we accomplished and that the game actually got finished.
Also, we have none of the original code as I have no contact with the original developers since the time we dropped the project in 1993. I only have one demo running on the Amiga.

Sincerely, Krister Karlsson

@All

Any volunteers to disassemble / reverse engineer the Amiga demo?

Otherwise we have already reached the "game over" screen

@Massi

Or someone can ask who were the original developers and if lucky, they are traceable and ask from them if source code still exists somewhere.
