Hi All

If both my ebay A1200 fire up which board should I keep the 1b or the 2b. 1b has a bridging cable from one chip to another not sure if its factory or been done after ?

2b, or not 2b: that is the question.

I'm not sure what you mean by bridging cable. If it's a single wire then it could be a timing fix but it's not supposed to be required for 1b, whereas it is for 2b.

Maybe you should post a photo of what you mean.

@Rob

Some older motherboards had last minute fixes. A wire or two connecting the pins of various surface mount chips.

They were factory mods btw...

Ya PC power supply adapter has arrived. Is there anything I should look for on the motherboards before attaching power?

Cant wait to see if these power up stuck at work at the minute.

@g01df1sh

My old A1200 (sold somewhere in 2004 after OS4 pre-release release...), was 2b and I never get problems, however I never tryed a PCMCIA card that was the critical point in A1200 criticisms someway...
So that was my personal experience...
