@Paladine

Yes, Kas1e has done good work.
Which Oddysey version are you using and where did you download it?

@Paladine

Just beware that the system becomes unstable after you have started the Odyssey media player. It apparently has a memory trashing bug somewhere.

The crash can happen at any time, usually a few hour later. Maybe downloading a file from OS4depot. Happily clicking the install icon and the system inexplicably freezes. Or reading an email and suddenly getting a DSI from the mail program. It seems totally random, but without watching any youtube with Odyssey (or accidently play any other video, like autoplay videos on facebook), the machine can run for weeks. Playing a video, and we look at hours before the system freezes.

But other than that, yes, Odyssey plays video pretty well on the X1000

@kas1e

I'm sure I am
I just really don't have time for any coding at this time
We just bought a house that needs a lot of work, and very soon we'll have a (new) baby!

My student/bachelor days with 8 hours of free programming time a day/night is unfortunately over.

Is that the notorious annoying Webkit Javascript bug that do not release RAM, causing OWB to freeze after some hours?

(or even in just some minutes on sites like Youtube)

By the way...

I am still waiting from you Kas1e from AmigaOS camp, and from Fab in MorphOS land, any comment if Javascript Engine fix by.Tobias Netzel is working flawlessly or not.

Only if it works I can assign bounty money to Netzel.

@Raffaele

Oh yes. I just discovered the Webkit reboot project. Well might wanna wait until all the bugs are fixed. I've been running an updated Webkit on OSX PPC and am getting a lot of crashes. Most are in the JavaScript interpreter.
