| I know this is from 2010 but it deserves a mention and really brought the sheer awesomeness of the Amiga back into focus for me!
Turrican 2 Theme - Metal Version
This seriously rocks. We need a new Turrican game _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

Yeah, what was with Turrican 3? Weird colour palette and awesome secondary weapon replaced with lame Bionic Commando style grappling thingy! Ok, let the awesomeness of Turrican 1 & 2 live on and leave the memory alone other than nice remix projects _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." Sorry, disagree. Mushy, off-piste and a bare resemblance to the original. Admittedly, I had to stop it after 30 seconds and have a blast of the original to remind myself what it should sound like. More mushy than metal, methinks. BTW I know I am flagged as a new member but I had my first Amiga 500 some *decades* ago and currently have 4 Amiga 500's, 2 Amiga 1500's, 1 Amiga 3000 (my favourite) and 1 Amiga 4000 and these are the ones I have left having sold several along the way. I was also an early purchaser of original Blood Money *and* Turrican II so while music is in the ear of the listener I believe I can claim some experience in that department. No, you're tone deaf! It is kinda like if Turrican 2 was a Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast remix theme ... and guess what? I love that game too!

Yeah that metal interpretation was cool. But have you seen Hurrican? Modern remake? Don't think it has any real music included.
Now as to that Outrun girl, well, her body looks all right, but I don't like her face. She doesn't look attractive, even for a CGI chick. In fact, she doesn't look happy at all nor look nice. I wouldn't want to go out with her! |

That's hard to say. It doesn't sound computerised but does sound like a real guitar. So I wouldn't classify it as a remix if it's a real recording. If. |

| @Hypex I was using "remix" in it's loosest (and least accurate sense). ("Remake" might be more accurate.) Anyway, it would be right at home on this "remix" site: http://www.remix64.com/charts/amiga/all-time/ _________________ Author of the PortablE programming language. It is pitch black. Yes, of course I knew that.
Other variants would cover version.
Rearrangement. Though that usually implies original tracks. |
