I am working on a Gamemaker Studio project. But for the sprites I want to work to the limitations of a Amiga 500. If I created works in Deluxe Paint am I able to export to a format that works in a modern Windows environment? And programs such as GIMP?

@CritAnime

I am not sure about DP, but if you use PPaint, you can use PNG or GIF.

You can also use IFF format in both DPaint or PPaint and open it on Windows with Photoshop, IrfanView, ACDSee, XnView ...

@ExiE

Will take a look at that. I could easily create graphics in GIMP but I really want to keep to the limitations of the Amiga.

@CritAnime

Not sure how much formats Dpaint supports, but one possiblity is:

1. Make graphics with Dpaint, save them as IFF (thats the standard save format that Dpaint Uses)

2. Open saved image in PPaint

3. Save opened image to PNG format in PPaint.

After this you should be able to open those graphics on PC without problems.

@Bugala

ImageMagick's convert program can also deal with IFF ILBM. This is present, or available, on pretty much every Linux. There's also a Windows port:

This is much nicer if you have many images to convert.

Sweet idea. Photogenics is always my friend when exporting Deluxe Paint files for use on PC/Mac.

Here's some inspiration:

Grafx2 ?

Edit 2: You have to know how to transfer too. But that's another thing. Very easy from an A1200 pcmcia or an .. You know.
