For immediate diffusion within your friends and contacts in USA...

In USA gli animali nei canili dopo un mese o due li sopprimono. Attivate i vostri amici in America per salvare queste creature.
Chiedetegli di controllare periodicamente le comunicazioni dei canili e dei gattili e di far girare gli appelli. Grazie.

In USA dogs and cats shelters euthanize the pets after a certain period of time. Please activate your friends in the States to save as many of these poor creatures. Ask them to check periodically these shelters communications and spread the news everywhere. Thanks.

@Raffaele

In UK, the RSPCA does the same. The problem isn't lack of caring, it's money and space.

@Raffaele,

The problem is not only in the USA, but all over, and it is because too many pet owners are irresponsible and don't get their pets sterilized, and then fail to keep them from escaping their homes & yards, so they breed with other fertile dogs and cats and create so many unwanted offspring.

This problem is not new.

Agreed. It is everywhere. I personally have 3 rescue cats and a rescue dog. Most of them have pretty depressing back stories ie. The dog was found dumped on the side of a road in a box and had been there for days, one of the cats was actually chipped, they rang the owners to tell them they found their cat and said they didn't want it anymore which is why it had been living on the streets for 9 months etc.

They just have such huge number of animals coming in where they have more coming in than get adopted and they only have so much space and money to shelter and feed them.

@BoingBear

But the kitten I signalled was left to the shelter by previous owner who declared he got an allergy (true or false allergy we don't know)

I am sure he knew that after a certain time pet had been euthanized, so it is a sure death sentence if none rescued it.

Previous owner could had left it to relatives or friends.
