@VooDoo

Im not infront of winuae now but check what ffmpeg you use and that you use generic version and not altivec as i believe you dont have altivec hardware. Try the ffmpeg from shell and see if it works first.
Maybe there is a tooltype in ffmpeggui to override what version you use etc. If you use the latest ffmpeg and its not compatible better check with the author. But i try to remember when im at home.

@VooDoo

It does work, you get a warning requester saying ffmpeg version > 2 is required, but then you can carry on as normal.

@VooDoo

I found a way to use the old ffmpeg with fmpegGUI & the new ffmpeg if needed. I moved the old ffmpeg into the same dir as ffmpegGUI & then edited the cmd path tooltype to CMD_PATH = Work:ffmpegGUI/

The error message no longer comes up.

Note: edit out the blender reference before Broadblues rage quits

& blender should find the new version to use.

AAArgh! Will get it your head once and for all that blender does not use the ffpmeg executable, it has it's own , built in, version of the lib and so does not have any effect whatsoever on ffmpegGUI.

Blender does not need Micks ffmpeg port, not even the library version .

Guess it was the talk between you & Mick that made it seem so. Anyway correction noted & post edited.

Now we wait to see if the UK rage quits...
