While beeing a big fan and user of Odyssey-Webbrowser the Netsurf Experience become better and better with every new release!

One of the big pros of Netsurf are:

- Light speed startup of the browser
- Smooth Scrolling
- Scrolling don't looks while loading final content of a new webpage

But there is one point that should be optimized:

Something like doublebuffering for the Webpage-Rendering-Output.
Because if you choose "simple refresh" in option to have the rapid and smooth scrolling, you can see gray bars on top and bottom during scrolling up/down.

Maybe if doublebuffering is not possible, draw a bigger render-canvas outside the displayed area in the browser.

This small but important thing would Netsurf bring to the next big step for the maximun user experience during the daily use.

@fingus

Thanks

The grey bars are due to the visible page being scrolled and then redrawn. I suppose making the off-screen area bigger would mean those areas could be replaced with a blit, rather than redrawn. That would mean some internal changes in the frontend.

Can you pop in on the bugtracker please? Mark it as AmigaOS-specific and assign it to me (chris_y) if you get that option.
