As someone who used to design processors and build them using TTL and wire-wrap boards, I have to ask:

Why?

It may cut if for a modern digital watch. Too bad it sooo big. Much more capable than the one on the Apollo moon lander by far.

Why not? It's cool.
Why build new hardware for the Amiga or other retro systems?
It's not practical, but it is fun.

And when running all those leds remind me of old Hollywood movie computers.

Besides for personal satisfaction, I read in an article that he is also hoping to donate its use to a technical college so it can be used as a learning aid.
