Samsung's blazing fast UFS storage cards could replace micro-SD media

"Users will be able to read 5GB of data -- or a full high-resolution movie file -- in 10 seconds from a UFS card, Samsung claimed. A UHS-1 micro-SD card would take 50 seconds to do the same. "

"Cameras are now shooting 4K video, and UFS cards can be as fast as internal storage, with the ability to extract and write video without lagging. That is something micro-SD cards struggle with, especially in top-line cameras. "

This means that your miggies and vaporware (think Natami) are becoming really obsolete.

@Chuckt

I'd certainly see its use in AROS/Icaros Desktop and other AROS distros to be very compelling to support. We already know how fast AROS is to load up and boot. Imagine it being even faster. I can also see it being very compelling in terms of speed when one can really drive the OS at a fairly fast data rate without the sluggishness that USB might provide.

In time, I'm sure if this technology matures some and available information for developers becomes available, it would be supported.
