There is two options here, you don't know that Radeon HD7XXX cards doesn't work with Sam440ep Flex or you have found one wich works.

You have Sam 440ep Flex yoursefl, so do you have Radeon HD7XXX card wich works with your Sam 440ep Flex???

Another option is uboot update wich doesn't seems to likely. :(

I went for option 3:

R9250 in the flex, it doesn't need anymore than that, I'm not a gamer, blender works with it. Works for me.

This thread is about the 460 (applies equally well to the X1000) and how replacing software rendering (wazp.library) with hardware rendering makes a vast improvement to blender, all the rest is just trollshit.

@Spectre660

Many thanks for your links!

In my case (living in the EU), I think ACube is the best solution regarding ordering.
The costs for taxes, shipping, (time)..?

But If ACube don't have it in stock, I'll go for Amazon.

320x256, Lowres, Single lines, frameskip 2. If this doesn´t help, there is nothing more you can do.

The problem is that most of us are using TFTs that won't display anything below 640x480.

Where I feel it is somewhat crippled is in CPU performance. It would be nice to be able to RunInUAE at actual Amiga speed, for instance. There is no help in this area here, correct?

First of all, are you using JIT enabled EUAE?

Video hardware can be used to speed things up using compositing and maybe later shaders via Nova.

AmigaBlitter has been working towards that but I don't think any of the work is released yet.

??? Sorry = I'm confused...

Does that card really work with Warp3D Nova?
(Club3D Radeon R7 250 1GB GDDR5 (CGAX-R7252L)).

"The following Southern Islands GPUs are supported":
Radeon R7 250E, Radeon R7 250X (according to Hans de Ruiter).

@Nicsoft

Yes it does . it is actually an R7-250E model.
You can tell by the following info :

GPU Chipset: Verde Pro GPU Clock: ~ 800 MHz Stream Processors: 512

OK, I just wanted to be sure. No E or X info...

@Nicsoft

Yeah.
Branding for you.
You always have to read the actual specifications to be sure.

I wonder why nobody creates simple 2x scaler (via compositing or overlay), such small feature would please most SAM users.

Most TFT TV's will, Monitors depend on the model, a more limiting factor is HD cards do not support anything below 640x480

I am using RunInUAE as it was installed standard with AmigaOS4.1FE. So...am I running JIT?

Probably not. However, JIT will work only for some games (eg. it is not suited for most A500 games).

@thread

I used to suffer a stuttering sound problem on my Sam460 set up. I found swapping the E-UAE executable from the Amigfx version to the SDL version made a big difference on my machine.

Pavlor is right in that the JIT does not suit most games under emulation, I find that most OCS/ECS run games feel no benefit from the JIT and it is better to switch this off in the settings on a Sam460.

JIT however does make games like Alien Breed 3D run a lot quicker, so like with anything It is a case of trial and error and playing around with the RuninUAE settings until things run properly. The good thing about RuninUAE is that it will create a per game config file so once this is done, it is done.

Another thing which will speed up the use of a Sam 460 is the installation of an SSD drive compared to a normal hard drive. Odyssey works a faster as a result and dare I say it anything which relies on accessing data from the hard drive will be speeded up with an SSD Drive.

Hope this helps
