Recently I got an IRDA joystick Elite 500 JR. It seems to be broken. Batteries inside leaked out probably a long time ago.
I temporarily cannot test it because my only amiga / c64 monitor is broken.
Anyone of you know this model? Is it an Amiga or a C64 joystick?

@r-tea

I don't know that particular model of joystick, but the C64 and Amiga can use the same joysticks so other than perhaps the marketing involved it's unlikely to be specific to one or the other.

@r-tea

That's a big transceiver. Looks like a mouse or trackball.

What wrong with your monitor? Do you have a TV? Plug it into that. Composite. SCART. Good enough to test.

First I thought the computers were broken. Phew. Can't have that.

@r-tea

Big defect of IRDA devices is that they cease functioning if you keep not properly aligned transmitter and receiver.

Go figure how much it is difficult to play moving a IRDA joystick and keep it aligned with receiver with all dozens of micro-movements you perform during a game play.

You will loose continuously IR beam signal unless you have joystick tied on a fix surface with sucker plunks.

This is why I prefer far better radio wifi devices.

I got an TV monitor (2 in 1). First it started to fading brightness up and down and then it just went off and woun't turn on back.
My friend took care of it, and he's going to finnish on monday.

It has four very good sucker plunks, so we will see
