| In 9 days I depart for New Zealand and Australia. I’m going to meet Trevor Dickinson of A-EON (maker of the AmigaOne X1000) in Wellington, and after a few days there, I head for Sydney and look around (taking day tours from Viator.com) and meet any Commodore and Amiga users there. Then it’s off to Adelaide for the September 16 Adelaide Amiga and Retro-Computing Event. I fly down to Melbourne for the September 18 Australian Amiga User Group meeting. I return to Sydney on September 20. Then on September 22, I leave Australia on the return flight back to San Francisco.
Here is my itinerary –
September 1 – Leave San Francisco for Wellington, New Zealand.
September 3 – Arrive in Wellington, NZ. Accommodations provided by Trevor.
September 8 – Depart Wellington and arrive in Sydney. Accommodations at Hotel 59, 59 Bayswater Road, Rushcutters Bay, NSW
September 13 – Depart Sydney and arrive in Adelaide. Accommodations at Jasper Motor Inn, 17 Jasper Street, Hyde Park, SA
September 17 – Depart Adelaide and arrive in Melbourne. Accommodations at Monash Hotel, 2077 Dandenong Road, Clayton, VIC
September 20 – Depart Melbourne and arrive in Sydney. Accommodations at Hotel Ibis Budget St. Peters, 178 Princes Highway, St Peters NSW
I look forward to meeting all good Commodorians and Amigans in my journey. If you are in any of the areas to which I will be traveling, feel free to contact me at my hotels.

Always wanted to visit Australia. That is awesome you are able to take this trip and travel for so many days, so far from your home.
Looking forward to reading about your travels, and seeing what pictures you will take during your trip.
Do you have a blog where you can post a description of your travels and post pictures?
You'll probably get a chance to meet that "Cammy" girl/woman, at one of the Australia events you are attending, as I believe that is where she lives. She is a true Amiga legend, and dedicated user/programmer/community helper, and it is a shame that she does not post to forum sites as often as she used to, due to the misbehavior of some members of this, or other forum sites. I met her at the Amiga30 event in Mountain View, CA last year, and she seemed very nice. |

Cammy was up in Gold Coast, Queensland. Not sure if she's still there. At any rate he should have a good time, Sydney's home for me right now and I can say that 3 days here is just enough to scratch the surface.

I live in the same country and I don't think I've met her yet. Well interstate is still a fair distance. Shame about the misbehavior. Didn't know that. |

Can you post the addresses of where are helding the meetings, precise date and hours, just to send news to friends in New Zealand and Australia who could be interested to attend to? _________________ "When the Amiga came out, everyone [at Apple] was scared as hell." Thank you!
No event taking place in Auckland or Wellington?

| No word. And Trevor has not made any mention of anything to me. Well, I will be sightseeing on Monday and Tuesday.
