@pavlor

Do you know if Shogo will work on my Samflex?
If so, do you know where I might find it for purchase?

WarpOS emulation should work on SAM440, installation may be tricky.

There is demo, so you may try yourself.
Note: you must set CDDADEVICE and CDDAUNIT in tooltypes, in my case:

CDDADEVICE=cybppc.device
CDDAUNIT=1

I would like to find out how far Acceleration went on the Classic Amiga.
Would RTG 3D be good to add for Win-UAE, FS-UAE, etc.
Also, since there are accelerators being made for Classic Amiga's, are accelerators being planned for them?

There is already such support (Warp3D games can run via Wazp3D with some 3D acceleration, however I wasn´t able to configure such setup...).

If you mean cards like Blizzard 1230, then yes, Toni added support for a lot of them. Eg. I use CyberstormPPC emulation.

The most advanced card on 68k is the Voodoo 3 and on PPC the Radeon R200.

How about Voodoo emulation under WinUAE?
If that is possible.

AFAIK all 3D Games that ran on unexpanded Amigas used the Blitter as accelerator.

But the Blitter could only handle 2D, so all this Amiga 3D games used the 2D accelerator for fast grafics.

The early Amiga was famous for 3D games like the FA/18 Interceptor:

Virus:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1S6GqqKgEIM

Zeewulf:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Toz9ngqrhW8

Here is another Amiga game showing 3D grafik accelerated by the 2D Blitter:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSzcoG7k2FI

AFAIK some Voxel Space games on the Amiga used the Blitter:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwGwFfHv3mY

But this was the time when PC got faster than the Amiga.

---

3D games like Wolfenstein used an optimisation for 3D Mapping to vertical objects (walls in a dungeon) that made use of a fast CPU but only needed a GFX card with fast access to single pixels (fast memory access and chunky graphic) this was something that was not supported by the Amiga Blitter.

The first full 3D games on PC where available with optimisation for early 3D cards but soon the Pentium CPUs got faster than early 3D chips on Amiga cards like the Virge DX

@OneTimer1

Cybercon 3 and A10 Warthog are two that I remember.
A10 is one of my favorite games.
I do remember a game that had programmable robots and pre-rendered characters.
The Amiga Chip-set is wonderful and can do a lot of cool things.

I have seen the C64 do some 3D on YouTube that is impressive.

@Trekiej
voodoo emulation would be a lost of (coding) time as Wazp3D already do the job in winuae-68k : in fact it is the fastest classic with 3D ever
It should be better to implement native.library in winuae-ppc as it would
allow also Wazp3D to be ported to Winuae-ppc (i meam with x86 hardware acceleration)

warptext.
you play with opngl games using real 3d acceleration, not via cpu
it is a wrapper, but not more developed

@thellier
Since we have PPC emulation, we need Wazp-3D PPC and a library to make it work with X86.
Did I under stand it correctly?

@Seiya Thank you. Maybe one of these days I will learn more about hooks and wrappers.
