Apart from working on the Enhancer Software for OS4, I have been busy project managing the OS3 version in the background.

It is still Work In Progress but is now starting to take shape. It has required a lot more work by the AmigaDeveloper.com Team than it's the OS4 counterpart because OS3 has not had any significant development since the days of Haage and Partner with OS3.9. To add to the workloads and delays, we have had to write the majority of code from scratch as the existing sourcecode has been unable to be shared with us for various reasons.

Here are some of the screenshots from the OS3 version, all running on my Amiga 1200. I hope you like them.

We have already ported a new program called RequestChooser, which is an advanced replacement for the old RequestChoice. It supports images and header/footer text as well as scrollable text body. We have used it in the EULA on the Enhancer Software Install. Here is an image of it taken from the OS3 version (screenshot taken from my A1200):



Three big component updates completed this week for the Enhancer Software OS3:

1) Shared Image Class v2.1 (updated from v1.1)
2) Select Gadget Class V53.1
3) ClipViewer v1.9 (updated from v1.5)

Chooser.gadget has now been removed from ClipViewer and replaced by the new, more advanced Select.gadget. Here is a screenshot of the new ClipViewer running on my A1200 using Select Gadget Class and Shared Image Class.

New Select Gadget work nearly completed for Enhancer Software OS3:



New version of ProgressBar.gadget now completed with CLUT/ARGB support for OS4 and OS3. In addition to regular ECS/AGA, it is now working great on my 16-bit / 32-bit screenmode on my A1200 with Mediator/Radeon 9250:

I am pleased to report that the new skinnable Clock utility from the latest Enhancer Software v1.1 on OS4.1 has now been ported to AmigaOS 3.9 for inclusion in the forthcoming Enhancer Software OS3 release. It uses the new clock.gadget which has also been ported.

Great news. I still use my Amiga 1200 Tower regularly. Having some new software to freshen OS 3.9's looks is always welcome. Thanks for your hard work and commitment.

For the moment, it needs classes such as window.class and layout.gadget from ClassAct or ReAction. However, we are working on this problem. The only problem is we have to recreate everything from scratch because no one is willing to either share or commercially licence the source code to us, despite requests. We have acquired several licences for third party ReAction based classes that can be ported back to OS3. More news will follow..
