Hello,
some of you might know that we are working on a windows version from our game "M.A.C.E." to bring it to the steam platform.

As we have some feedback from the community, we do some improvements. The gameplay and the level design will get some adjustments, new game backgrounds and a bunch of new enemies will come. The overall graphics from the enemies and the player ship wil also be updated. We hope to get a better version with all this changes, not only for the windows version.

The Amiga version will get these updates too, when the windows version is finished. But it might be that it only works perfect on better hardware (sam460+RadeonHD) because we use more and bigger graphics wich needs more graphics memory. But we will see how we can optimize this things to run it on lower devices too.

We started to make some blog entries on our website to show our work in progress in regular updates. We split it into some short snippets and bigger articles which joins the snippet into a whole information page.

Links are here:
Development Blog:
http://entwickler-x.de/mace-wip

Articles:
http://entwickler-x.de/category/articles

We currently have three articles based on mace. If you want to follow the progress and view some pictures and videos, then thanks for whatching ;)

In near future, we also will bring regular updates for our other projects, they are already created:
http://entwickler-x.de/category/development-blog

We hope, it is ok to post it here in the amiga forum because it also is based on our AmigaOS works (the engine to windows is a backport from the AmigaOS version, levels are built on AmigaOS, the new version will also arrive on AmigaOS!).

Thanks for reading and also thanks for reading the next post, because we have a great please!

M.A.C.E. is currently listed on Steam Greenlight. It would be nice if you do a vote for this game to bring it to Steam!

Here is the link:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=727013167

So thanks to all steam and amiga users for a vote!
Once the game is released, the users who vote can write us an emal and we send them a free steam code to play the game on windows!

We hope it is ok to post also this evil windows related post, but it is importent do bring our work forward. Also for further AmigaOS developments!

Many thanks for reading our development blog and voting on Steam Greenlight!!!!!

@imagodespira

Great to hear the news! Perhaps you could make the game actually playable? I mean, the original M.A.C.E. is so hard right from the start that it actually spoils most of the fun.

@Trixie

I didnt really find it hard, altho I my fingers to very tired after a little while playing on Ipad

Another thing; IF you decide to make it for AOS3.x too (Vampire), then make it RTG.
I hate having to use SCART cable on a second monitor.

I realise its a Steam related thread, but given the number of users, just sayin.

Current M.A.C.E. version needs "compositing capable graphics card" (Radeon 9250 in case of A1200/3000/4000). I don´t think Vampire is close to such performance.

Many thanks to your all for the votings!

@Trixie
We have three settings for difficulty, so the easy mode should not be very hard.

@Trixie
Dont you have ZX spectrum back in child times ?:) Half of games where was realy hard from begining. After that expirience, i actually found MACE too much easy, and only hard mode make it good in end.

@imagodespira
MACE already was quality stuff, but as i see in development log it will be even better , cool.
Latest video also good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfK19fnXRfw
That big planet on background make game feels better. Knowing also how much of time and man powers puts in games of such kind where everything draws manually, without 3d modeling, that impress more as well :)
