I stumbled accross these 2 items while doing some random ebay-ing.

The motherboard isnt amiga related, but I thought it was interesting. Based on 440ep cpu @667mhz, and with 2 pci slots.

This one is Amiga related, not a common item, and thus far reasonably priced. It's a 500mhz g3 sonnet crescendo pci card.
Thought Id point it out incase anyone is interested. Id buy it myself, purely to stockpile if I had the money. Seems a waste to let it go to someone outside the amiga circle.

@fishy_fis

I dont think that Apple accelerator is the pci slot type. PCI slots have a notch closer to one end or the other, this accelerator has it closer to center, and dual rows of connections per side, this may be solid ground on the "bottom row".

Yup, not a PCI card. It's CPU daughter card for Power Mac 7300-7600 and 8500-9600 models.

Ah, yes, my mistake.
I read the description and it mentions it being for PCI based macs. Jumped the gun a little I guess. :)

@NutsAboutAmiga

Seriously? Was that worth the effort?
Clearly I thought it was a PCI sonnet card, which does work on Amiga systems.

Anyone who doesn't understand that is, quite frankly, a moron.

Does Embedded Planet also sell Embedded cases? All we need is for them to make up an Embedded laptop shell so we can stick one in and have an OS4 laptop.

And...about $10K to get Hyperion to port OS4 to this board.
Unless you think someone could illegally hack a copy of OS4 intended for a SAM440.

Then there are the two PCI slots a laptop doesn't need (although a video card would be need to be added somehow).

@Beans

Well it's looks like the base for a Sam 440. So yeah flash UBoot and away you go. In any case we just need a base shell for a case.
