@paolone

I used QEMU enviroment from the previous release... Not ideal introduction to AROS, I think.

Absolutley. QEMU is too slow because it lacks of any virtualization-acceleration support from the physical processor. Both VMware and VirtualBox take advantage of Vt-x and similar CPU technologies, dramatically increasing their speed. Unluckily, I never understood how to include KVM acceleration stuff into the VM I used to help running Icaros on Windows. And that's why I'm killing it with Icaros 2.2.

If you need a short run of Icaros and you can live without audio and network support, you can now use it hosted under Windows. But if you have a Linux machine it's far far better: you can run hosted Icaros with near-to-same overall speed than native, with audio and network support. Under Windows, however, I strongly suggest using VMware Player, the best solution so far to avoid messing with the metal.

Thanks for the report :)

We are planning on ODF formats in the future. The resizing issue is on the list to be fixed.

Great to read that progress on FW has included forward thinking coding, which will make it easier to port to other hardware, and possibly other OSes, more easily.

Great work terminills!
