I can remember how we spent one Christmas playing the original Amiga Worms..good times.
For me, the most remarkable retro news was that some crazy guys ported Pinball Dreams to Amstrad. http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=68387

| @Mr_Capehill Thanks for the link, I played with ACE under MorphOS and I like the game, the pity is my old Amstrad CPC 6128 has the disk drive damage and broken.... Because I shall play this game on itm with the green monitor.

Has it been open sourced? I thought Worms was ported to every platform available back in the day. |

I've been playing Worms 2: Armageddon on my phone. Just like PS3 version. But too small and harder to play. Doesn't work well on touch screen. Can't drag the screen around like a title bar. Still would like an OS4 port. |

I agree. Would like the later version on OS4. Though having Worms 3d would also be good. Downloaded some Mac demo once but couldn't get it to work. |

| Well, Hyperion (said they) had the license to port Worms Armageddon since..1999? 2000? So I guess just two more weeks

I believe the license was only valid for the AmigaNG platform that was never delivered by Gateway.
edit.
Just had a proper look and found the license was also valid for 68k and WarpOS.

Of course, that's not to say that it's still valid.

Richard Drummond had already done much of the work on Gorky 17 years ago before he left the Amiga scene. I'm not sure how much work was required for Frank and Thomas to complete it but Worms Armageddon, if the license was still valid, would require anyone taking it on to start from scratch. |
