IMHO it doesn't matter that much any more (other than for the long term backers) considering Bedrooms to Billions: The Amiga Years beat it to release and that documentary is supposed to be the more professional release. I just finished watching it today and it really is quite moving especially the segments from game developers whose careers were launched or created due to their introduction to the Amiga. It is also amazing to hear the interviews from Dave Needle, Jay Miner and RJ Mical especially. I've still got the Special Edition disc to watch and some bonus 'making of...' features on Disc 1 (the Lemmings one was very informative). Plus the Kickstarter reward floppy coaster is class
Saying that, I hope Viva Amiga is worth the wait for those that have waited so long. Last edited by BigD on 06-Jan-2017 at 12:06 AM.

I have also seen Bedrooms to Billions: The Amiga Years. Be interesting to see how the two compare _________________ A1200 ACA1232 128MB Indivison MkIICr Elbox empty Power Tower RPi3 Emulating C64 ZX Atari PS BBC Wii with Amiga emulation Vampire v4 SA |

Yea, just finished it and I liked it. More fanboy hype, shorter, and less serious documentary than The Amiga Years, but still fun to watch and some really nice scenes there. Well worth the money and it's good to have both documentaries now. Still not too much documentaries like these :)

Just finished watching it. We need a part 2 as where the Amiga is now with like Aeon and Aros / Morphos and all the FPGA stuff. _________________ A1200 ACA1232 128MB Indivison MkIICr Elbox empty Power Tower RPi3 Emulating C64 ZX Atari PS BBC Wii with Amiga emulation Vampire v4 SA |

In regards to Lars Von Trier:
Wiki Quote:
Quote:
He periodically suffers from depression, and also from various fears and phobias, including an intense fear of flying. This fear frequently places severe constraints on him and his crew, necessitating that virtually all of his films be shot in either Denmark or Sweden. |
The project would be delayed forever with someone like that! I guess you were being ironic?_________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

Thanks for mentioning the Bedrooms to Billions film. I will check that out.
I contributed a significant amount to the Viva Kickstarter. It is a relief to finally have that over with, but...
The film is a hot mess and seems quite superficial to me. Lots of unnecessary CGI, full commercials, and Mr. Weddington's love of the slow focus footage. Sometimes people talk before there introduction, so you have no idea who they are and why you should care. Just lots of things irked me. I have waited patiently for 5+ years and this is a lot less than I expected.
Plus the distribution nightmare... I had to buy it again on iTunes just to be able to watch it on release. I actually got to watch it on the 5th, not sure why. His 'free' link to watch it on Vimeo requires a Vimeo account (free to create, but still)... I have no idea when I will see my posters, DVD's and CD's yet.
In short, it's crap. If you can see it for free or less than $5, do so. |

| Still waiting for my download link, is anyone else still waiting for theirs ? Private message sent on facebook, as well as asking in the Facebook and Kickstarter pages, but can't seem to get an answer

| I did'nt join the kickstarter on this but I did watch it on vimeo (dowload)
Must say I have been following this since I heard about it on computer festival east think it was in 2014.
Anyway seen the film now and it has lots of loose ends... so u better know your commodore and amiga history before you see this or u wont get it.
First they say " we got the amiga team" but nothing about how they got them", nothing about how they built it or about ces when amiga was just some breadboards.
And in the end of the film there is nothing about what is going on with amiga right now. And how the users is re-building this computer from scratch I am talking about fpga-amiga.
But of course a-eon is co-producer on this film... ;)
It was very interesting to hear all those fantastic enginers from amiga team talk and I love hear Dave Haynie, Dave Needle, etc talk about amiga. But think I prefer "from bedrooms to billions".

| I purchased "Bedrooms to Billions" on Steam and I have to say, it is a far superior piece of film. Not as focused as Viva, but still better in nearly every way.
