A question regarding Alarm.

On the picture you posted i see that the alarm can be set and hold back for a given time period (even days).

An alarm is attached to an event, and may display before or after the event starts or finishes. Any number of alarms may be set on a given event.

ie if you have an event set for 00:01 till 23:59 25/12/2018 you can set:

1. an alarm that shows 10days before hand and says "Buy present for christmas"
2. an alarm that shows 5 hours before hand and says "Put up decorations"
3. an alarm that shows 6 hours after te start and says "Get up and open presents"
4. an alarm that shows 12 days after the finish of the event and says "Take down decorationsto ward off bad luck"

I'd need some more possibilities to "remind" me on set dates.

I'm often days away from the computer so i would need these possibilities:

1) A *future* reminder set to a date, but which will remind *before* (a number of given days or hours) an alarm was set, so i won't forget that i have to attend something *in the future*, e.g. birthdays so i can get presents in time...

See above, you don;t an alarm by itself rather the birthsday as an evet and an alarm to display at an arbitrary time before or after of you choosing.

Quote:

2) Add an *important* switch, which will pester the user with a requester that he/she has to take notice of and only after clicking it away drop the reminding. So that even *after* the alarm was set and even *after* the timeframe was passed where it should still alarm me, the window will pop up telling me that there was an important thing going on. So, i can still react to it, albeit late...always better to no reaction at all.

There is a requester option, to use the requester rather than a system notification (RingHIO), when a requester is in use it 'blocks' and must be manually acknowledged by the user.

Quote:

Second option combinable with first option.

All options are combinable.

@broadblues

good news ! BTW did you add a search option to view a particular remind from the past ? Sometimes I have to look back but I must browse the whole diary which is cumbersome !

@lionstorm

Search is supported, using DOS Patterns, time periods and any any text based field.

@ilbarbax

Not as such, I'm not taking down the free 1.4 version, so you might consider that a demo, but it lacks all of the new features.
