Hi,

I have tried OWB, Odyysey, iBrowse and Netsurf to try to login in to my Google account (mail, blogger etc).

Anyone know how I would be able, don't want to use mail client as I use Google for more than just mail.

Help

Do not know if you can go far with that but 'spoof as ipad' can let you login to the mobile site.

@1Mouse

you can not anymore since I think 1-2 year already !

your best bet is to use the google handler :

Only error what I have is "You have been redirected to the basic HTML version because this browser is not supported. To use standard view please upgrade to a supported browser."

I can login just fine into google without doing anything special expect for a having an url settings entry for https://drive.google.com

just a few days ago gmail started to give me the html site btw after warning about that my browser is too old for a long time, the html site is faster so i don't really mind except for the day when i finds out about some missing function in the html version.

I'm using the latest odyssey available at os4depot ofcourse.

@lionstorm

I am guessing he is using Odyssey's spoofing feature and getting in with acting like a different browser and not the default Odyssey.

@1Mouse

If it's the same problem which occured with MorphOS Odyssey some time ago, it's related to cookies and something has changed on Google's sites that you'll get problems with new cookies.

There seems to be at least two workarounds:

1) If you have old cookies saved, it should work with them (this explains why it works for others while not for others). You could dig your old backups to find them too.

2) You can import the cookies from other browsers with some trickery: Gmail OWB

@jPV
We need a new version of OWB for MorphOS and for the other Amiga versions.

@Templario

Fab is working on new OWB version since February 2016.

Voices stated he is rewritting from scratch Javascript Engine in order to make it fully PPC Big Endian compliant and get rid from obnoxious X86 Low Endian porting, that is full of bugs and memory leaks for PPC and mainly for Operating Systems without Virtual Memory Management that puts all unused code in virtual files on HDDs without consuming all available RAM... (AmigaOS, MorphOS)

It is a enormous effort, and in the meanwhile he has new duty as full-time daddy now, so good luck to Fab!!!

@Lazi

I've tried Odyssey v1.23 (tried spoofing all listed), OWB v3.32, iBrowse v2.4 and Netsurf v3.6.

The only one I get anywhere with is Netsurf v3.6 which allows me to view my Gmail in basic HTML format (very slow).

I am not able to get into Blogger, which I need to update Blitterwolf.

How about Timberwolf, lol

@1Mouse

I wanted to log in to Google on my A1 to check my mail. But when I tried to log in it took me back to the log page as if the user/pass was wrong. However I don't recall seeing this as a specific error.

In any case I then ignored the response and found a way to get to the mail page. Which then worked as I had been logged in!

I don't know if this helps with Blogger, I need to test myself, but see if it works by logging in then going to the blog site.

You really should let developers speak for themselves.

@Tuxedo

As it is at the moment all browsers are of no use when it comes to some of the more important things for me.

I am unable to check my emails through any browser and I can't update my Amiga blog on an Amiga.

@vulture

It's a pity when I try Timberwolf on my 440 I get an error and also that it is no longer maintained.
