I am trying to get Basilisk2 running on my X5000. It runs 4.1 FE update 1.

Has anybody got Basilisk running on 4.1 FE update 1? For me it crashes when I pres start - no matter what settings or rom I am using.

I have not installed the latest updates yet, I don't normally upgrade in a middle of a project.

Works for me (WinUAE/OS4.1FEu1, 604e, 640 MB RAM, UAEGFX).

Basilisk2 settings (for MacOS 7.5.5):
System
Mode= Window
Window Depth=Black and White (only for startup, MacOS turns to 256 colours later)
Use lock on screens bitmap=yes
Frame skip=2
Disable sound=yes
Mac CPU=68030 (FPU none)
MacOS RAM=16 MB
Mac Model=Mac IIci

I use small 15 MB filedisk as MacOS boot partition and 1 GB as work disk.

I just downloaded it and started it with the default settings and it works on my X5000.
I used a quadra650.rom and a hardfile with macos 7.6.1

You properly just corrupted the FS on mac, which can happen easily, run Norton Disk doctor.

boot from a recovery disk and run disk doctor.

Got it to work. Apparantly it crashes when window depth is set to 256 colours!

Great!

When it is set to default or black and white it start fine.

And there is no problems in putting on colour when it runs.

if i good remember basilisk under amigaos/mos is much more slow compared the linux.

Hi, can you try http://jabirulo.site90.com/temp/BasiliskII_beta.lha this on?
It's just a fast recompile without any fixes (IIRC), just a GUI relayout I didi looong time ago.

Maybe just backup first ENVARC:BasiliskII_prefs in case it breaks soemthing.
