A thread appeared on a.org earlier today speculating about Ben Hermann's status based on this filing:

http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/cgi_tsv/tsv_rech.pl?language=fr&btw=0466380552&liste=Liste

Is this old news? Any word?

@TRIPOS

It may be a bit premature to pass judgement as we really don't know the status or the implications.

As others have pointed out, it could just be a change in role.

Hopefully we will get some formal clarification.

Not sure there is much room to speculate here on Ben, that much seems to be clear, although it may seem as if Timoty De Groote is the new CEO at Hyperion. Though my Dutch is questionable at best. Thanks for posting, i would have been oblivious to this fact.

@mike

I doubt that Ben has sold whatever stake he has in Hyperion.

Wel, a CVBA is a sort of entrepreneurial cooperative. Which means at least 3 persons share responsibility for the company. Groote is thus more of a first among equals then he is a CEO.

@Rob

I doubt his stake is worth anything. I doubt the company as a whole is worth anything.

That's your opinion but his opinion will be based on how much money he's put into it and I'm willing to bet that it's quite different to yours.

@Hyperionmp

I don't blame the others for not knowing what a CVBA is, but if they can dig that deep in company history, they might as well look up how it functions.
It also helps I'm Belgian, so I know more of the local nuances ;)

@thread

as mentioned at the thread on amiga.org (shameless plug):

Quote:
Hyperion Management Restructuring
Brussels, January 23, 2017

Hyperion Entertainment CVBA wishes to announce that Mr. Ben Hermans has resigned as a director of the company to allow him to concentrate on his practice as legal counsel. He remains committed to Hyperion Entertainment and will continue representing its legal interests in the best possible way. Ben of course also remains a shareholder in the Hyperion Entertainment business.

Timothy De Groote
Costel Mincea

Directors, Hyperion Entertainment CVBA

IMHO you should give this account to the directors of Hyperion.

I still live in Gent, won't be moving fast as I'm still a student. I certainly wouldn't mind a good drink one day

The timing seems to be perfect!

Most of us are familiar with Ben but I suspect that Timothy De Groote is lesser known.

Aside from his LinkedIn profile, can anyone offer much about Tim and where he fits in the evolution of Hyperion?

Nice town, we often have to go to court hearings there and I have quite a few clients in or near Ghent.

Always up for a drink, my junior associate iives there as well.

Any excuse is good to go to Ghent ;)

Does explain your knowledge about CVBA's however.

What are you studying?

Ben

Ghent is a lovely city indeed and I'm lucky to live here, everything is so close by .
I'm studying Japanese, with a minor in Political and Social Sciences.
