For years I've had "http://www.amigaworld.net" in my bookmarks and it always worked until today. Is it my system or is the "www.amigaworld.net" URL gone for good?

@Xenic

Both amigaworld.net and www.amigaworld.net should work (one just redirected to the other).

Tested here, and both variants are working ok.

Strange. I tried with Odyssey, Reaction OWB and NetSurf and get a "can't connect to server" message with all 3.

@Xenic

There was a short period just now where it was pointinng to 127.0.0.1 for me (on both my SAM and linux laptop) just came back to sane address again.

You may need to reset an program that was using it, due to ip caching...

I just turned by X1000 off and back on again. Same problem. I'll try again later.

@Xenic

Problem has reoccured, I can only get here by putting the ip 85.25.152.36 in my hosts file.

Affecting the subdomains used by IRC too.

@broadblues

Yes, I just posted to a thread, got the new page OK showing my post, but when I hit "Back", I got the "error - no such URL" message.

It has recovered 15 mins later, so there is an intermittent problem.

@thread

I got a proxy server error accessing the site in Chromium about a minute ago, which is strange, since I am not using a proxy server. Other sites were loading fine. Restarting Chromium solved the problem.

The site has been intermittent for the past 2 days. At least we'll still have Amiga.org when the last wires short out here

Bingings are broken. I can't Access this site with name, but with IP.

Even when DNS server tells correct IP to this site.

I pointed out two years ago that the DNS setup of this site is very fragile, the people responsible lacked the insight to do anything about it.

I expect that nothing has changed and that TTL values are still whack, I am too lazy to check.

Today (31-Jan-2017 13:00 local) www.amigaworld.net fails but amigaworld.net works. I hope these issues aren't permanent.
