| These are some exciting times when former BeOS and PalmOS engineers get to take a crack at the new Google OS called Fuschia. Read the article and commentary at the OSNews article. Unfortunately the gap in the OS world that would have nicely worked with AmigaOS will likely be filled before AmigaOS gets to the point of development that even HaikuOS is getting to. |

I repeat myself.
An alliance between Haiku Team ans d AROS Team will crack any other Open Operating System, and its Kernel if released with sufficient open re-usable license (by giving Haiku team a good funding support) could also being re-used by Hyperion to give AmigaOS a modern core with modern features. _________________ "When the Amiga came out, everyone [at Apple] was scared as hell." I loved PalmOS and WebOS for portable devices and their fate was the same as my favourite computer OS in the end all i can say is that I wish them well moving forward _________________ ____________________________ c64-2sids, A1000, A1200T-060@50(finally working!),A4000-CSMKIII ! | Well, regardless of any merits of the OS there are millions of people that don't like the way Google controls their products. A good example is youtube, some videos are artificially censored, read for example what happened recently with PewDiePie (no, I'm not a fan of his channel, but that's just ridiculous). So there will allways be a void and given the growing control of coorporations and governments on free information it will get bigger and bigger.

Many of us having been advocating this approach for years: the OS really needs to evolve.

Rather interesting development.
As an alternative OS, besides AmigaOS of course, I do fancy a try with Linux Mint. Looks elegant.
Anyone here played around with it? Any good?
I have played with Haiku before too, very fast OS and rather good for what has been done with it.
Q!
