| I know this has been asked before but it still doesn't have a definitive answer. The Prisma MegaMix Music Card has a clock port installed so that in theory when used in a Big Box Amigas it can be connected to a clock port card like the A1200 version of the Rapid Road USB card.
This would be a great solution for me as the purchase of the music card and USB card is more important to me than a XSurf-100 network card that the Rapid Road normally plugs into on Zorro enabled Amigas.
Can anyone answer this? Will it be supported in the future? Will everyone just write "when it's done " and keep buying expensive second hand DENEB boards? _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

When you have XSurf-100, the RapidRoad connects to it using a dedicated port, from what I have seen. If you want to use the prism2, you need an available clock port. _________________ B5D6A1D019D5D45BCC56F4782AC220D8B3E2A6CC |

My question is whether the Rapid Road ACTUALLY works with the Prisma's on-board clock port (it has one as dual use to 1) to connect to an A1200 or 2) so that the A4000/T can use clock port expansions meant for the A1200 when the Prisma itself is plugged into the Zorro slot). No one seems to have tested this 2nd Big Box Amiga option not even AmigaKit!
I'm fully aware of what the options are generally but my question is specifically whether the A1200 version (clock port connector) of the Rapid Road can connect to the Prisma's clock port when the Prisma is connected via Zorro 3 in a A4000/T? Michael Böhmer designed the card so it might be worth contacting him and asking.

I have a "Clockport Expander II - C Version" installed in my A1200. I am using the Prisma Megamix Soundcard at Port 0 and the Rapidroad at Port 1. Works perfect, no problems and no incompatibilities.
But i dont know if the rapidroad works on the clockport of the Prisma, when connected via Zorro. Last edited by Cego on 21-Mar-2017 at 03:38 PM.

Yeah, I can see why! It's so infuriating that Amigakit haven't just got both cards out of the store room and tested the set up so that we know once and for all! We'd understand if there is some compatibility issue that could be rectified in further revisions etc but not knowing either way means I won't be investing in a Prisma until it's cleared up. At this rate it may never be cleared up before they go out of stock! At the end of the day it's AmigaKit's loss as they've worked hard on the Prisma and they're robbing themselves of a sale. No answer/clarification from AmigaKit after the Prisma Megamix has been on sale for many months says it all! I think we can safely assume that the comment used as part of the Prisma's sales blurb:
"if operated in Zorro II slot, clockport can be used for compatible add-on cards."
... does NOT apply to the Rapid Road USB board.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! Obviously I'm open to correction but the SILENCE experience by both me and klx300r speaks volumes.
Case closed. I think people wanting USB functionality would be better off buying a second hand DENEB. At least you'll know what your getting as long as it's advertised as in working condition.
