Amiga NG should be compared with classic. It is very good way to use old 68k software.

Amiga NG is something which gunnar von boehn and other scumbags from natami/apollo/vampire team
promise but never deliver.

Binary compatible with old 68k software soulution, with one hundert time faster cpu than fastest 68k,
and thousands times faster graphis.

There is really no reason to waste time and money on commodore machines made after amiga 500.

Buy amiga 500 with gotek for old games, and amiga ng for productivity software and You will be happy.

Amiga A1222 will be cool sexy toy for developers, real amiga with big endian cpu and binary integration with old 68k software.

@ppcamiga1

You must be the single saddest, most pathetic individual ever to grace an Amiga forum. Congratulations, that is indeed an effort.
Referring to people working hard to produce products that are clearly desired by hundreds of people as "scumbags" for not producing an "NG" product (something they never claimed to be doing, or even have an interest in) is, ironically, the action of a scumbag.
Who do you think you are? Trying to dictate what others do with their free time and how others should feel about this, when you're clearly clueless about things you pretend to be interested in anyway.

You contribute *nothing* but flamebait..... you've been doing it for years on various forums.
Let me make this perfectly clear, NO-ONE has any interest in anything you say or do. No-one even gets enraged at your comments anymore (quite transparently half the reason you do it). Pretty much everyone sees you as a pathetic human being.

You wanted a reaction? There you go, you got one.

@Moderators

Can't you just get it over and done with and permanently ban this clown? Its more than obvious that he has zero interest in anything but pathetically trying to stir reactions.

This has surprised me, too. Include various CDs by ex-Amiga music composers to make the picture even more absurd.

Agreed, but only if they ban all time AmigaOS 4 bashers.

The format is pretty much inconsequential in my opinion, its the attitude and consistency that's the problem. Everyone can (and do) have bad days, and people are entitled to their opinions, but when a person does nothing but try to antagonize and bad mouth others efforts, for years, that's when a permanent ban warrants consideration.
In my opinion of course. :)

It is the latest, not the last.
Software will drive the hardware market.

I'm not a big fan of banning anyone, BUT this guy gets on my nerves too.
Its one thing to have your own opinion, but he seems to reserve the right to have his own facts.

Please guys, no "alternative facts".

@iggy

The post by ppcamiga1 isn't even original, he copied and pasted it to other forums as well, even the MorphOS forum MorphZone, which has nothing to do with Gunnar or Vampire, though some people who visit that site are obviously interested in news about the Vampire projects.

Banning people is serious, specially when considering a permanent ban, but I agree that ppcamiga1 is THE MOST PATHETIC forum poster I have seen in quite a while.

@BoingBear

not only pathetic but he attacked me even personal. He is on his crusade against Vampire project and attacking everyone who is positive to it. Funny thing is he is calling everyone stupid wanting vampire but at the same time praising PPC as sane alternative and not recommending ARM or X64 instead. Best is to ignore him.

Any Amiga developers should be praised not insulted. There are very few left and the work that the vampire team and others are doing is amazing. I know development in Amiga land is slow but these people have other jobs and commitments as well. So don't knock em support them. Roll on stand alone vampire I would love one.

People like the idea of the Vampire, people like Commodore hardware, people like playing hardware banging AGA games and using Deluxe Paint and Lightwave on classic hardware! Vampire allows this and is fun! OS4 doesn't have to be the be all and end all of the Amiga's future!

What do you mean real Amiga?

And what's this skipping AGA?

A1200 with Vampire and RTG/RTA/HDMI thank you very much!

You don't run Lightwave without an FPU, so Vampire does not allow this.

Yea, sure!

Yet the resources to produce unimaginably expensive PPC systems with (in comparison) retarded performance, and to port OS4 for those, seems to be completely unlimited!
