Hello Amigans!!

I have an Amiga 500 equipped with an ACA500 and and ACA1232 accelerators.

I can play lots of WHDLoad games except the ones that overpasses the 512 K Chip memory limit.That's another question to analyze in another thread.

I know my Amiga 500 is Fast with 128 MB of RAM too.And I know I can probably play Doom.

What 3D FPS games I can download and play on my Amiga 500? I tried Gloom Deluxe but no luck.This must be AGA.It reboots and gave a Guru Meditation.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

You can do a search at lemonamiga.com . Choose advanced search, choose shoot 'em up and first person 3D or something similar. Choose OCS as chipset. Not much showing up but there are a few games.

Doom didn't show up but I recall seeing it runing on an A600 so should work I think.

Gloom Deluxe works on A500 (tried on stock A500 + 512 kB Slow RAM).

ADoom 1.4 supports EHB modes, could work on your setup. DoomAttack may be even faster, but I´m not sure, if it supports OCS/ECS.

There are other OCS friendly FPS games (eg. Cytadela), but these aren´t comparable to Doom or even Gloom.

Edit: Gloom Deluxe may be short of Chip RAM - tried A500, 68030, 128 MB Fast RAM, OS3.1 setup in WinUAE and Gloom crashed with 512 kB Chip (OK with 1 MB).

Edit2: ADoom may have problems with plain OCS (tried only in WinUAE, ECS Agnus OK).

Nemac IV and Trapped2 are the 1st 2 that spring to mind other than those already mentioned.
Additionally AlienBreed3d2 also works on OCS/ECS Amiga's if you apply the turbo patch.

Try Citadel. It was pretty hyped on its release in 1995.

Robocop III is similar to a FPS and it was programmed with A500 in mind.

Ifestation is a Survival FPS from Psygnosis and your setup should not have problems playing it.
Also, if I recall correctly, Robinson's Requiem (Another First Person Survival) has an ECS version

Btw here it is Hall of Light list of FPS that run on ECS

There is also Behind the Iron Gate, a Doom clone without texture, but there are some brush, some shaded polygons on the walls (also these ones are shaded) that run on OCS Amiga 500.

Saying all this AlienBreed 3D was the only Amiga FPS game worth the mustard back in the day! Is 2-player over null modem as well

AGA is needed though!

I was going to suggest Citadel myself. I enjoyed playing a demo back in the day. Though I don't recall if I played it on my A500 or A1200.

Citadel is a good game.I probably tried it on 1998 with my then new Amiga 1300.

My question is where can I download the games that are on this list?

The list by the Italian friend.

Simulcra is 3d, pretty detailed and runs at a decent speed in an A500

Well, Abandonware has a fair selection of Amiga games AFAIK. Not all of them, I'm afraid, but the number seems to be consistent.

AB3D , Maybe 2 is too much.

Genetic Species etc but really on some newer stuff.

Maybe wrong ideas but can check them out.
