SimpleMail question

| how do i get SimpleMail to only scan for new messages at startup instead of banging my hard drive endlessly loading up a gagilion previous emails before starting??
this only stated happening a few weeks ago & I haven't messed with any setting etc. _________________

You closed SimpleMail badly.
When you open it, re-scan all folders (the deleted folder is the most important). Then close SimpleMail and open it again.
It's a recurrent question BTW  _________________
