| Just wondering if anyone has copies of the WOS version of Dosbox I sent to a few people a few years ago? Unfortunately I lost both the binary and sources and didn't have backups. Amongst others I sent it to both Jahc and Sundown who unfortunately seem to have vanished. Given how much of a pita wos development is I'd much rather track down the binary than redo it.
Thanks in advance. |

Sundown is still active with the amiga so he might have it. |

Cool, thanks.
Hadn't seen him in a while in the places I frequent. Nice to hear he's still around. I'll try to hunt him down. |

I hope you have learned to make backup since then ;) For some reason it sounds very tempting to run some dosbox under wos just for the fun so i really hope you find it!.

Sorry fishy_fis, I don't recall ever getting that app from you. I still have my classic & could do a search, but I doubt its on there.
Jahc moved on, got his medical issues fixed, got a job, got married. He does check into IRC a few times a year, but pretty sure he's dropped out of the Amiga community all together now_________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |

I could be mistaken, but I'm nigh on positive you was one of the people I sent it to. It was version 0.72 and ran fine on OS4. This was back when OS4.0 was current, so if you do have it, its more likely to be somewhere on an OS4 machine, or backups of OS4 files (obviously I don't know how/where you keep your stuff, I just mention it to hopefully jog your memory and/or help you find it). If you don't mind I'd very much appreciate it if you could have a look when you get a chance. |

I did a "find" search on my NG system, no dosbox file found. My SAM440 is to new to have any old files stored on it. I do have the old Micro files backed up on the x1k, so the search would have found it if it existed. Checked all my CDs, but their just boot CDs.
Wish I could help you, but I just don't have it. _________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |

Sorry contacted Jahc on FB and he says he doesn't have it. Seems the where abouts of this program are a mystery. Why is it missing from Aminet I wonder? |

I'd certainly like a copy too. If this was around when OS 4.0 was new, could it have been uploaded to some OS4 repository and been replaced by an OS4 native version? |
