software failure only when exiting EditPad ?

| the past few days I've been getting a 'software failure' prompt every single time I exit EditPad (using OS3.9 with BB's 1&2) saying 'program failed (error#80000004). wait for disk activity to finish--suspend or reboot'.
This past week I've been downloading alot of new demos but other than that I haven't installed any new software/hardware so no idea what could effect EditPad ? Will try later tonight deleting and installing a newer version if available & see if error at exit still happens Last edited by klx300r on 09-May-2017 at 11:19 PM.

| still having the issue with EditPad but I just downloaded the new Redit text editor from aminet and it's working great so sticking with it in my Amidoc from now on

i would would look at the "standard problem(s)":
Any replaced/broken Reaction classes (i.e. replaced by an old ClassAct class)?
Any replaced/broken library? (i.e. resource.library)? _________________

well I'll be ran VirusZ & surprise surprise EditPad along with a few other files had the 'HappyNewYear 96' virus go figure

No. EditPad *is* Reaction based. Reaction is part of AmigaOS since Release 3.5. _________________
